Really good Schnitzel in a classic Franconian atmosphere! Also very kind waitress. We will come back for sure, very recommendable.

The food was amazing here, I highly recommend trying some of the local dishes here. The portion size and value was very good. The service was excellent too, very friendly staff. Overall, absolutely amazing.

Insider tip from a friend, the mixed grill platter was a joy to experience. Atmosphere is also good, but this dish would have been great anywhere. The salads complemented the meats beautifully. A clear recommendation!

Real friendly spot frozen in time! You feel like you are in a medieval or fantasy movie. Wonderful people, classic Franconian dishes served with gusto and conviviality.

Typical German restaurant with a good classic menu.

Totally happy, looks like a traditional German restaurant, and it is. Good portions, tasty too, and friendly service despite our almost non existent German.

I came here in a Saturday to bring my friend to try Schäufele while visiting. The Saturday special here is Schäufele and it is very good here. Mark was very friendly and showed us a good time. The is a great local restaurant for the local cuisine.

We loved this restaurant. The food was outstanding and the service excellent.
The proprietors were so very nice and accommodating.

The scheifele was awesome, wonderful crispi skin, delicious mellow meat.
Local bier was not great but was local.
Local schnaps of good quality.
The restaurant is such a cosy place with a huge stove that keeps the room at the perfect temperature.
Service was great, warm an attentive.

Expect to pay about $30 for a basic meal with beer of which they have local varieties including one aged for 2 years in a cave in the mountain
Our waiter took his job seriously: I was telling a story to my guest and was reminded my soup was getting cold. 😊

This place has a really nice atmosphere inside, mostly designed with wood. You can also sit outside during they summer. The food was really good. If you go there you should try the leberkäse. In addition various kind of beers are offered.

be delighted with the German stile interior design and enjoy a friendly environment, taste a German cuisine, then this is a right place to be in Erlangen.

This one is a little smaller inside, but the atmosphere is great (plus there's a fireplace). Cosy. They have great beers which you can also get in 1 liter mugs (Maß) if you want.

As usual, great food and very friendly service. Great selection of food and drinks. Something for everyone.

Prices are above average but worth it.
