A nice classical, family, German restaurant in a sea of kebab shops. It's like a breath of fresh air. Food is great. Maybe a bit more pricy compared to other places around but honestly worth it for the experience and feeling.

Recommended and hopefully they manage to keep it up.

It is a restaurant with really tasty dishes inside a traditional house. The food was so delicious, and it is tipical german cuisine. The waiters are so nice and you can go alone or with your family.

So great that this little peaceful oasis is still there. As a kid it was special to sit in the garden and get a Fanta. Coming back as an adult i thoroughly enjoyed it first with friends then with family. The Neptune plate was very light and tasty. The best fish. Thanks to no cars allowed it has a quite corner where one can sit in the shade and just enjoy

The Cordon Bleu Schnitzel is delicious, served with peas and sliced potatoes. Portion size was ideal and very tasty and tender. Friendly and efficient service with a smile, washed down with some very drinkable local white. I’d highly recommend you dine here.

One of the traditonal restaurants in my home town Bochum. Whenever I am im Bochum I enjoy their Schnitzel - it's fantastic.

Great food and beers. Nice and welcoming staff, with professionalism and a good sence of humor. Rooms are light and cosy, with a 'livingroom'-feel.
I highly recommend a visit to Mutter Wittig if you are in the area.

THE place for traditional food from that area. The mussels are a must if in season. Prices are fair. You might want to make a reservation for peak time visits.

Sehr solide Küche und freundliche Bedienung. Das Ambiente ist etwas "retro", aber stimmig und gemütlich. Gut dass es noch so etwas gibt.

Ich hatte Draußen auf Terrasse gegessen "Krüstchen Mutter Wittig". WOW lecker 😋. Aufmerksamer Service. Da gab's auch gerne Trinkgeld. Komme als bald wieder ....

Ein Restaurant mit Geschichte. Toller, freundlicher Service und sobald man drin ist, ist man aus Zeitschleife entsprungen. Manche würde rustikal oder urig sagen, ich fand es gemütlich nach einem Arbeitstag im fremden Bochum. Tolles Haus, leckeres Essen, frisches Bier vom Fass.

Schönes Lokal mit einen Ambiente als wäre man bei seiner Oma essen, super gemütlich und einladen. Die Kellner sind super nett und freundlich und das Essen ist ausgezeichnet.
