Brasserie Engel – Restaurant & Café

Wow, food is fantastic here, probably best I’ve had in Germany so far - and I’ve been in many cities. The pork with noodles was our standout dish, but everything we ordered was equally sooo good. Highly recommend. The decor is really nice, with angels, chandeliers and they also serve great beer. The waitress speaks English as well, though there is no English menu available.

Amazing food, amazing service. We were able to get a table on short notice and also come in with two dogs, staff was very friendly and the food was simply magical.

We had a short train layover in Offenberg, and we probably cut it a bit too short honestly, but the staff at the restaurant was amazing about accommodating our departure time. Aside from the rush, it was easily the best Spaetzle I've had in my week in Germany. Fantastic service and food!

Great location and service. English can be used at the restaurant. The portion is relatively big. If you don’t have large appetite, you may order their signature entree with a salad to share with the other person. You may also ask the server for recommendations. Visit twice in three days

Lovely and cosy place and the food is worth trying. Especial the dishes that are prepared in the iron pan. I like the retro look of the restaurant, I definetly recommend it.

Nice food, good big portions. The menu has enough to offer, flammkuchen, spätzle, schnitzels, salads.

This cosy restaurant was such a delight! My sister and I stopped by for a last minute late dinner and left feeling very pleased with our decisions. To drink we tried the spãtburgunder (rot), a local red wine which we both agreed was absolutely delicious (for the wine alone we will be back)!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Schwarzwälder Kartoffelsuppe, a black forest potato soup served with wiener sausages.
And for main I couldn't recommend more the Späzel-pfanne à la crème - egg noodles with a creamy mushroom sauce served with schweineschnitzel. The flavours and textures in this dish were perfectly balanced and complemented the wine beautifully.
Our waiter was very polite and attentive. He spoke with us in English but it must be noted there is no English menu (we used a translation app).
For anyone travelling to Offenburg I would highly recommend dinning here. Our experience was definetly a highlight.

We had decent meals both times we visited. While it was 5/5 experience the first time, the service was a bit slow on our second visit. Still, it's 5/5, just be aware. Thanks!

I love coming here because it reminds me of sweet times in Germany. The restaurants character and food are wonderful. I am glad I brought my mom here for her vacation. Lovely food, superb service, clean, accommodating, gracious and wonderfully refreshing. I think your place is absolute perfection. Great vibe as always. I will come back.

Variety of l ok cal foods. Good atmosphere

Main attraction for me is, They serve, one of best grilled chicken in offenburg. Delicious and juicy, not so dry. I don't like very dry grilled, it will be mouthful to eat and makes it jaw painful. Chicken here are not so dry... Good !!
