Very good new Vietnamese restaurant next to the iconic Yangda. The food is very good! Also it is very cool that you can order many dishes as tapas (small portions)! I highly recommend this place to visit and it is good that Yangda now has a competitor.

Regarding PhoBo - I would recommend giving fresh lime, mint, chilli and coriander on the side. That will make it perfect! The broth was amazing.

We randomly came across this restaurant on our way to another restaurant and decided to try it out. Chao Vietnam is a newly opened Vietnamese restaurant near Postgalerie that serves pretty fantastic authentic Vietnamese food. Their main menu has the popular options like Pho, and bun nem, but also includes dishes that are harder to find like papaya salad, and Mien Ga. We tried Bun Cha Hanoi and it was quite memorable, they grilled the meat on charcoal like how it supposed to be and they also include all the herbs that are quite hard to find here. However, their vietnamese menu (pic) is actually what surprised me the most. They have dishes like Dua Xao Top Mo that you can only find in local beer gardens or in a household meal in Vietnam to various types of authentic vietnamese hotpots. From my limited experience, chao vietnam is the MOST authentic vietnamese restaurant that i have tried in karlsruhe. I strongly suggest this restaurant to any Vietnamese people who miss their cuisine and for anyone who is interested in exploring new flavors.

Heute draußen im Passagehof im vietnamesischen Restaurant gegessen.
Es war sehr lecker.
Ich hatte die Gemüsepfanne mit Zitronengras Soße u Erdnüssen.

Das einzige was man verbessern könnte: ich finde, es war zu wenig Reis.
Dies haben auch meine Mitbegleiter empfunden, die das Curry bestellt haben. Wir haben dann Reis nachbestellt.

Wir hatten Pho Bo (Reisbandnudelsuppe mit Rind) und Hähnchenschenkel frittiert mit einer Zitronengras-Chili-Soße (vorsicht scharf!). Es war sehr sehr köstlich! Da wir desöfteren schonmal in Vietnam waren und das vietnamesische Essen sehr feiern, können wir dieses Restaurant empfehlen.

Ich war seit langem mal wieder in Karlsruhe und habe mich sehr gefreut ein gutes vietnamesisches Restaurant zu entdecken😍 das esse war wirklich super lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und alles ging recht schnell. Die Udon Nudeln mit knuspriger Ente waren der Wahnsinn!

Das Essen schmeckt original vietnamesisch und ist geschmacklich spitze. Außerdem kommt das Essen sehr sehr schnell. Auch die Limonaden sind köstlich. Wir saßen draußen und das Ambiente in dem Passagenhof ist toll.
Wir würden hier wieder Essen.

Absolut fantastisches und authentisches vietnamesisches Essen. Die beste Pho Bo die wir in Deutschland hatten. Der Service ist super freundlich und auf Zack. Auch die Lemongrass Spieße schmecken wie auf dem Street Food Markt in Hoi An.
