The western front with its simple architecture doesn't prepare you for the interior. Once again, Egid Quirin Asam demonstrates his skill and versatility as an architect. Here the interior is dominated by the vertical lines of pillars and semi-columns, topped by cornices over capitals. The ceiling is a glorious ornament of gold on white, with various shades of pink. The choir stalls provide a striking foreground for the great "theater" of the main altar where a fully three-dimensional group of apostles are caught in rapt captures as the Virgin Mary rises on the shoulders of angels.

Eine sehr schöne Asamkirche und muss man wirklich anschauen, sehr sehenswert.

Eine wunderschöne barocke Klosterkirche, ausgestattet von den Gebrüdern Asam um 1726. Ein beeindruckender Altar der die Szene Maria Himmelfahrt darstellt. Dieses Gotteshaus muss man unbedingt mal erlebt haben. Und danach läd der benachbarte Gasthof Sixt zur Einkehr ein.
