Poseidon Restaurant

My go-to greek place in the area. Over the years, we tried most every restaurant in Erlangen, and Poseidon is the best. Make sure to reserve for the garden if the weather is good!

Sitting at the garden is beautiful and a great environment. The staff is very attentive and the food was great.

Not a place for kids. Staff provided wonderful service but for sure not tolerant of kids

Good Greek restaurant and beer garden in the beginning of downtown. Open air seating is having an excellent atmosphere, beer is great and the food is excellent. We tried mixed seafood grill which was the number one, followed by octopus grill, fried cheese etc. Must try is the Greek alcohol Ouzo. This place is highly recommended.

Great calf's liver. Simply tasty. Family owned and very friendly. Great to see young and old family members working together and getting along. On German public holidays it is one of a few sit down restaurants that is open, although reservations are highly recommended on holidays.

the food was really nice. They have a variety of different foods from chicken, lamb, beef to pork. Grill, normal cooked food and so on. The same goes for drinks. Servants are nice, but can be more friendly. The environment is quiet and beautifull especially in summer when you can sit outside.

Favorite Greek restaurant in Erlangen. I've been there many times and never disappointed. Servings are generous, very good service, and the prices are reasonable. Inside is very nice. The only issue is finding parking. You may want to make reservations as it is always busy.

If there's a thing that the Greeks do right is grilling meat. Fancy restaurant, fancy atmosphere but the meat was served in big portions just like another not so fancy Greek restaurant. 10/10

When you want to have nice Greek food this is you place to go.
There are very nice service, who will take time to recommend you dishes when needed and very fast when need to. We often eat here and every-time we get a very personal and friendly experience.
Poseidon is one of the best looking restaurants you could get in Erlangen. It also offers a nice open air area with a bar.
They have a very nice variety of starters, which are perfekt to share. Our favorite dish here is Calamari with tomato rice. Salad and Fish here are incredible fresh and tasty. But also the plates with grill meat are fantastic and will definitely not disappoint you.
So make a reservation and give Poseidon a shoot. You will not regret it.

Prompt service. Good menu but a bit lacking in vegetarian options.

The meat was nicely done. Ordered the artelier plate. The lamb and shreds of crispy pork was great. The piece of white meat on skewers was abit too dry for me thou. Loved the ambience.
