Love this place, fabulous ‘kneipe’ with a horseshoe bar in one corner, simply watching the bar skills is wonderful! There’s a variety of tables around the place, seating out front and a covered terrace to the side. Beers are good (Pils, Helles, Kellerbier, Weissbier vom Fass), food is good (currywurst war wunderbar) and the atmosphere varies depending on the time of day - can get loud and exciting when the football is on)

Die Andau..
immer wenn ich in der Andau saß,
hatte ich total viel Spaß.
Trink ich Wein oder trink ich Bier,
Ich bin eigentlich jeden Tag am liebsten hier.
Der Service hat mich dort immer begeistert,
auch wenn ich in meinem Kopf bin komplett verkleistert.
Oft trink ich ein paar Biere mehr,
denn es gefällt mir hier so sehr.

Seit 1974 ist es bei jedem Besuch in Mainz Pflicht hier mindestens ein Bier zu trinken…..immer nur gut
