Wow, what an experience buying our first car in the Dominican Republic! You have to trust the process but more importantly have a reputable dealership to work with. They had the car we wanted at a great price but they didn't take cash. We had to go to three banks to get the cash then deposit it into their account before we could complete the paperwork for the car???!!! Talk about a test of faith and I'm not that trusting. It worked out but I don't advise this without you and the dealership coming to terms beforehand. They were excellent in the process, escorted us to the banks, and helped us buy our car without issue, even helped us get insurance quotes.
