Posada la Lomita

Over-the-top amazing. Places like this break the rating system. Don't even know where to start. Many kinds of fresh fruit growing all over the property. The house itself is huge and beautiful and has everything. Incredible views all around. The owner is super friendly and kind. Impossible to do it justice in a review... It's like having a private Hawaiian island.

We consider ourselves the fortunate ones who, with all the options to choose from to stay in Mindo, stayed with Fernando and Marjorie at Hosteria La Lomita. We even booked an extra night as we loved the vibe of this property. This place is a paradise away from the noise and cars. A very pleasant 25-30 minute walk from town my husband I did every day when it wasn't raining. Our cottage (there are a few on-site) came with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a separate sitting area with a TV to watch DVDs (there's also an indoor hammock). WiFi was strong and we used it mainly to know when things opened and closed. Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent (although, Fernando and Marjorie make their own and give you a small bottle for free). La Lomita is a short 5-10 minute walk to the chairlift (Teleférico) as well as a nearby butterfly farm well worth the visit. The most unvocalized aspect of La Lomita is when the hosts put out their hummingbird feeders. The birds are literally waiting for this daily. When the feeders go out, it's the most amazing spectacle instead this gazebo they build on the property. You can watch this for hours. The couple designed this space so there's plenty of ways to entertain yourselves – pool, sauna, yoga house, birdwatching (bring your binoculars), etc. We didn't utilize the pool or sauna but they look awesome. A tremendous amount of effort was made so we as guests felt comfortable and safe – they proactively checked in on our when the wifi went out for an hour (we didn't even notice), picked us up from the bus stop, arranged a birdwatching guide at last minute, and much more. As a business, it doesn't feel like a business...feels more like distant family members just opening up their home so you can relax. I highly recommend to couples.

Un hermoso lugar en un ambiente natural, cuidadosos con el ambiente. Muy confortable, limpio, amplio y zonas de diversión natural y otras como piscina, sala de ping pong. Atención cálida. Experiencia altamente recomendable si busca Paz, comodidad.

Las cabañas muy cómodas. Disfrutas de la naturaleza y la tranquilidad del entorno. Cuenta con sauna y piscina.

Algo espectacular, como para no perderse, súper lindo y la atención de muy buena calidad
