La Casa de Cecilia Mindo

Gorgeous property. Everyone was so kind and helpful. They had information on bird tours and night walks. We arrived and were able to tell them what we wanted to do and they were able to describe all the activities we might want to do and timing so we could see the most about of birds and wildlife.
The restaurant is along the river and near hummingbird feeders. It is so beautiful. The rooms were so clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here or getting breakfast and watching the birds along the river.

Wish we could have stayed longer! Located a short walk out of town and by a river which is peaceful to listen to all day and night. The rooms can feel a bit small but the outdoor area surrounding the rooms are spacious and a great place to watch the hummingbirds. The host also arranged private transport to san Tadeo birding where he stayed with us explaining what birds we could see as well as providing binoculars. The breakfast was also great and they offer a laundry service for $5.

Cozy hostel nearly the center of mindo. Great atmosphere- the hostel is situated next to a stream. The rooms themselves are really comfortable. Lastly, the price is reasonable compared to other hostels in HostelWorld.
Overall Great, I would highly recommend staying there when visiting Mindo.

This was the best place we found to stay in Mindo. The places that advertised that they were quiet and out of town were hard to get to and actually not quiet at all, had a lot less amenities casa de Cecilia was in the PERFECT spot. It is so beautiful, and the staff were super helpful and welcoming. The breakfast included in your stay is almost worth the price of staying. 10/10 would recommend.

Beautiful place to stay. Located a bit outside of the village center near a stream, you feel like you are completely in nature. There is a feeder for the birds which attracts them to the area. The rooms are nice and clean and the shower is great. They also have a nice little kitchen for the guests. The hosting family is kind as well.

Charming location right next to all the activities and services

Loved the location. Right on the river. Would've liked if my mother who has mobility issues could've walked around easier with her wheeled walker, all the areas are very uneven and rocky. She didn't feel comfortable going around alone. But otherwise we loved the area, the rooms and the breakfast.

Beautiful property right on the river with lots of plants and many cozy hammocks to relax. Nice, bright, airy and clean rooms with big windows and an awesome shower. Breakfast ($3.50 - $4) is served on a covered patio with pretty mountain views right by the river. The rooms are a great value. Highly recommended!

It's an amazing and beautiful place.
I feel really calm down here. The owners are a great family, with a little 2 years old boy.
There are an entrance to the river, where we can go and swim.
There are also a relaxing area with Hammocks, where we can just chill or do some yoga.
For me it is the most beautiful place i meet at Mindo.

Very beautiful place to stay. The windows were mesh so you can hear the sounds of the forest, while being only a short walk away from the town. We even saw some large wild rodents (Agoutis) walking by our cabin.

This place allowed us to truly relax and recover from city life. The river, myriads of birds, and wonderful flowers have an amazing calming affect, and yet you are also a 1 minute walk from the plaza and all of Mindo's activities. The breakfast is worth it too for, although simple, it comes with the absolute best fresh bread I've had in Ecuador.

Very nice place in Mindo. The river pass by the cabins and it is a nice sound for sleeping in the night. They offer breakfast in the morning and just outside there is a nice restaurant with lots of options and chocolate!!!! I always have to stay there when I visit Mindo. They also help you booking tours in the front desk.

Beautiful place. Truly magical with the hummingbirds and the beauty of the room. Just felt that the staff (apart from the gentle woman at the front) was cold (definitely not as friendly as the other hostels we have been throughout our ecuadorian trip). Great location !

I enjoy my stay in this lovely green natural corner. River passby is the the great treat, birds singing. Its not kind of luxury but rustic and simple wooden structure which i love. friendly staff, 5m from central park

Fantastic accommodation, beautiful cabin lodges situated beside a river and surrounded by beautiful jungle mountains. Highly recommended. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Quiet place by the river (if you like river noise, which personally was very relaxing). Rooms were clean, shower was hot, beds clean & comfy, price decent: what more could you ask for?
