Selina Montañita

It was all great! They were very understanding and nice. Perfect location in the heart of Montanita. My family and I came last minute but was able to book without the problem. Would recommend for young people for sure. For families just be aware it’s a bit loud due to the clubs around the area but aside from that it wasn’t bad. The suit comes with parking which was great. I would definitely be coming back!

Staff is amazing, great place, loud on the weekends and Monday night.

Selina Montañita is very unique compared to other Selina locations. Montañita is a place where parties never stop and you would find that it's a difficult place to get work done or have a long night of sleep. There are some nights where music stops at 6 a.m and starts again at 7 a.m, so please be aware of that.
Personally, I loved the rooms, the food and the people. The Cowork area was great and internet was reliable (stable 15GB DL/15GB UL) considering the location.
The beach is great and there a lot of places to eat/party if your plan is to try new things there.
If you want to go there to relax, I strongly advise you to go somewhere else. lol

I actually went to Selina to learn how to surf. Carlos was extremely patient, versatile and I’m not too terrible at surfing which surprised me. But his English is perfect and he’s incredibly patient.

Ekaterina also was incredibly kind and helpful with making sure I knew what to expect reservation-wise and she showed me around the city and restaurants there.

I could easily say both are the best people I’ve met so far on my Ecuador trip. I’ll be back to Montanitas and Selina!

PS, bonus points for finding the iguanas in Montanitas.

We loved the staff, Bernardo was the best host at the hotel… He gave us some advices so we can have a good experience at Montañita, there´s nothing better than talking to local people who can show you the best local points around… He was amazing and very friendly... We are definitely coming back!

Great location and a very nice place, if you want to meet travelers is not the place to be, but the ay hace a lot of activities and everything is clean all the time! The food is like a 7/10 so, not bad actually but you can find better options at the street’s restaurants.

Me and My best friend decided to back pack through Ecuador for the month of July, montanita was our first stop, we found this adorable hostal right in the middle of town, Selina. We were greeted by two smiling faces at the front desk, Catalina and Vivian who helped us get settled in. It wasn’t long before we went down to the bar to have the most amazing margarita and shots from our new friend John. Let me tell you, the bartenders are absolute professionals at making delicious drinks. We sat there and ate the delicious quesadillas, and ceviche. John invited us to go out with him and some friends that night so we went and got ready and came back to be greeted by some more awesome people, who are also employees of Selina. Miguel has the voice of an angel and the music he makes sends chills through your body, you must see him perform! Yoel is the tattoo artist of Selina, and his work is amazing, so we had to get tattoos while we stayed of course! His Instagram is @yoeltattoo_art. Check him out. Stiv is the DJ who knows how to throw a party, and it just so happened to be his birthday that night. Jepes is also a bartender of Selina... his flaring skills and his personality light up the room. They are all some of our forever friends now and I’m so happy to have had my first experience as a traveler here at selina. The entire staff was just so amazing and it really felt like home to us for our short time there. We will definitely be back.

Very very well located, super friendly staff, nice pool, bar and restaurant, located right on the beach. Wont do much better in Montañita!

Very cool hotel! Got a pool, restaurant, and access to the beach. Make sure to bring a lock for you to use a locker in the bedroom.
