Sendero de la Isla (Island Trail) - Rancho del Cañón

Great short hike adjacent to the thermal pools. Something new around every corner. Highly recommended.

Great 2 km / 1 hour trail through bushes, fields and rivers. 3$ entrance. Well maintained paths. Mesmerizing view of the mountains as you walk along the trail. Some beautiful flower and birds. If it rains, put on a rain jacket and go anyways. Good for a late arrival short hike 👍

A nice short hike with great views of the surrounding mountains, including the snow-capped Antisana if it’s clear enough. Lots of gorgeous flowers and birds, including several species of hummingbird. The website said the hike takes an hour, but my girlfriend and I spent over two hours on the trail, watching birds and taking photos. Admission price was $2 at the Exploratorio within the Termas complex.

Vale la pena tomar la caminata, es un lugar bonito, con hermosos paisajes. Se respira aire puro realmente la primera vez me sorprendió el río, los paisajes los animales. Es un nivel de caminata leve no es cansado así que definitivamente se puede ir en la hora de la mañana o en la tarde.

La experiencia que se vive dentro del sendero es mágica. Te permite valorar y conectarte con la naturaleza. Al seguir avanzando por todo el sendero se pueden obtener fotografías únicas en las que se refleja la gran Bio diversidad del Ecuador, lo cual es algo de lo que nos sentimos orgullosos. En cuanto al tiempo de caminata es muy corte, es un sendero de poca extensión pero eso no limita que tenga un potencial increíble para amar a nuestra tierra.

Leuke korte wandeling! Makkelijk te komen, het pad staat goed aangegeven en is op een mooie manier gemaakt en onderhouden. De rivier was je langs loopt gaat van rustig kabbelend naar wat ruigere stukken en is erg mooi! Wij zijn zelf nog wat via de weg omhoog gelopen om de route langer te maken, wat ook goed te doen is omdat er vrijwel geen auto's rijden. Prima stukje om te wandelen!

Este sendero es perfecto para caminar y recorrer el río junto con la magia de las flores, durante todo el sendero podrás observar hermosas flores y aves.

Nice trail, but no possibility to go off trail. Surrounded by pasture. No chance to see large mammals. If you have more money and time, take the taxi up to the reserve

A nice and easy hike especially if you stay in the nearby Termas de Papallacta. Best if enjoyed early in the morning.
