Hotel A Raiña

We stayed here after a long day on the Camino. The owners were very gracious to us even though we were late for check-in and dinner. They even took time to help us buy bus tickets back to Porto. The food was fresh and delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Excellent pilgrim friendly,family run Hotel. Monica and Javier are excellent hosts and will do everything to make your stay an enjoyable one. The room was in good condition, good shower, comfy bed and nice and quiet, perfect for the discerning pilgrim. The food prepared by Monica was delicious especially the fish, my grilled monkish tails were delicious. A gem of a place.

What I enjoyed:
Clean + spacious+ simple room. ( Sorry the bedding in the photo was messed up by me).
The view from the room is precious and beautiful.
The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive.
Shower is hot and with strong flow (for walkers, very important).
Dinner is offered on site, very thoroughful and convenient.
There is also a mini refrigerator in room.
I had a really nice stay here and thoroughly enjoy the view ( see photo).

What some people might not enjoy ( not a problem to me, but listing here for your information).
The room is very cold (to me). The heater is not on until 8pm and is not sufficient (to me) for the room size.
The bed in my room is soft to me.
The room is not "decorated."

Not much choice in this village. A or B..., but we stayed here for one night and to be honest it was lovely. Wonderful view, beds super comfy, great shower and breakfast was perfect with proper fresh coffee. Considering there are not many choices in Oia their price wasn't too bad.

We stayed one night during our camino journey and had a lovely experience. The location is stunning, with a restaurant patio overlooking the ocean and two very sweet horses grazing in a pasture nearby. Our server Cristina was amazing and very patient with us while we practiced our Spanish.

Room was clean, with fast wifi and very good water pressure in the showers is a huge plus to de-grunge after a day of walking.

We wished we could stay longer and will be returning to Hotel a Raiña when we travel again.

We had an amazing stay. Everyone was so friendly. The food was great. We can't wait to come back. Highly recommended.

When I arrived in the small town of Óia I was thinking I could have walked further and perhaps I didn't need to stay in this small town. But it turned out to be a gem.

I had a room facing the ocean. I had full floor to ceiling French doors opening to a small balcony. It had a nice breeze and I could dry my laundry in the setting sun.

I needed the break and enjoyed the chance to try the few bars and restaurants in the town. The hotel manager speaks beautiful English as well as Portuguese and of course Spanish. He is very helpful. The breakfast was simple but ample for the day.

I'm so glad I stayed here and enjoyed the sound of the sea all night.

Beautiful location, very close to the water and monastery. Such a quiet, peaceful area, all we could hear overnight were the waves. Every staff member we interacted with was lovely, and despite us only knowing a little Spanish, we were able to understand what we needed to. Dinner was delicious as we looked out over the ocean and small Spanish town. Wifi was variable due to the remoteness of the area.

Lovely hotel with local smiling owners who care. They made sure that we know about the festival that was held that evening . Dinner was also great, outside garden was fun. Very clean.

Great place, great food & super helpful host

We are walking the Camino and spent the night here after a tough day walking. Javi was so kind and helped us with special food and transportation issues. Comfy bed, great dinner, good breakfast, outstanding host.

Fantastic place.
A bit more costly compared to hostels, but worth for good relaxing night of sleep and great breakfast.
I had also dinner there and it was good for the price.
Staff is simply fabulous 👌

In a small town of Oia, this seems like the only good option but it’s a good find. Hotel has limited facilities but service more than makes up for it. Hosts are super nice and make us special vegetarian meal at the dinner.
