Worth a visit, very helpful with local history. Plenty of info in Spanish and English. You must visit downstairs to see how people lived.

A must to get a feel of the history of Mojácar! You step back in time to a traditional house you’d typically see in Mojácar a hundred years ago.
You’re welcomed into the museum by a lovely lady who explains about the home and brief bit of Spanish history.
Great value. I think we spent about 30mins there and would definitely recommend.
Thank you!

What a gem of a find in Mojacar. Wow! We got a very warm welcome by Sonya, whose family have renovated this wonderful part of history.

This museum recreates the atmosphere of a traditional house of Mojacar of the first half of the 20th century, and makes the visitor familiar with the history and culture from town. It's a fascinating Journey Into the past of Mojacar suitable for all ages.

The exhibition is housed on 2 levels, the ground floor has 11 family rooms, decorated with authentic objects of the time and old photos.

The basement (difficult to access if tall like me lol, or you have mobility issues) houses the stables for animals and farm implements, where the family would have originally stayed, before the rooms were added.

Brilliant!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The most interesting part of Mojacar is this museum, without exaggeration. Beautifully restored and organized with great care and knowledge, the house invites you to step into the history of the region. The museum’s owners have guided me through its many rooms and expositions explaining how the local families used to live a century earlier as well as providing the historical context. Wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

Where can I begin. What a beautiful house museum. The owner is also the guide and also speaks fluently English. You get a very good Idea how people lived in the first half of the 20th century and before. The lower half of the house is much older, moorish style, and you can detect in the walls parts of the mountain in was built upon. They also found behind the wall a much older staircase. You walk on old history in this part of the house. You can ask any question you have at the guide. I don't want to spoil it by telling too much, but it is really not to be missed when you are visiting Mojácar pueblo.

What a lovely little hidden gem. After a long very hot uphill walk (don't worry we went the hard way, you don't have to) we were greeted by the owner who welcomed us into the cool. Although we speak a little Spanish she grabbed her husband who she said spoke better English to give us the tour. He gave us a wonderful walk through of the house showing us all the different parts of the building and talking through the displays he answered all of our many questions, the passion he felt for the history shone through. We were a little bit worried that our teenagers wouldn't find it interesting but they really did enjoy it which lead to discussions over lunch afterwards. We were probably there for about an hour or so, for under €10 for a family of five it was worth every cent. It was a pleasure to meet you both. Muchas gracias.

Amazing experience! Probably my favourite part of visiting mojacar pueblo. The owners are very knowledgeable, speak fluent English and are happy to take their time to show you around the museum. Very informative and loved learning about the past of mojacar. They had some amazing artefacts on display. Could charge double and would still be worth the visit.

Very lovely visit to learn about Mojaca and the tradition, especially not noble people’s history but the one of locals. 3.5 euro is very much worth it with the guided tour we received! The collection of antique items and pictures are interesting.

Thank you so much to the owners of this amazing house for letting us have a glimpse into the past of Mojacar. Best €2.50 I have spent this holiday. We were given so much time by the owners to explain everything in the house. Would highly recommend taking the time to visit.

Really interesting. The owners bought the house and restored it to its former beauty. They had no financial help, and used the knowledge of the local people for authenticity. It shows life as it was in the early 1900's

The most entertaining museum in Mojacar Pueblo. Yes.

The guide and his tour is a must , he's knowledgeable, enthusiastic and is fond of his plastic donkey. Yes. I like.
His perfect Borat style English kept us engaged throughout the tour.

Hold onto your ticket as you leave through the stable door and re-enter the museum again. The propriatress has a tendancy to forget your face and may follow you around asking you to pay.

The narratives in each room provide much historic details.

We will definitely visit again. Is nice I like.
