La Duquesa Castle

Cute, but small. The museum was closed, but we enjoyed the view regardless. Nice view of the Mediterranean.

Great little fort with good views along the coast. Free to enter.

Lovely to walk to down the breach-front on a warm breezy day then there are the green budgie like birds 🦅 that seem to nest in the trees 🌲 next to the old fort , was a relaxing place to sit chill and watch the day go by xx

Amazing view from the top of the castle. You can swim in a bay infront and is a cute playroom for kids.. you can walk on the promenade all the way from Duchess to Sabinillas .. lovely

Amazing castle, with nice views and rich historical and cultural heritage. Built in 1767 by Francisco Paulino of Seville during the rule of king Carlos III and represents one of the best examples of an 18th century fort. The fortress was actually built upon the remaining metre high ancient Roman walls. Nowadays, the location is used by municipality organizing workshops, hosting expositions. You can pass by the gate and enter a nice inner square which leads up to the outer platform with a stunning view on the seaside, la Duquesa beach and area around. Get your camera ready!

Ancient defence Castillo with Roman remains. Very interesting and stunning views from the top. Small, but interesting museum on the ground floor. Well worth a visit.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy scenery plenty of places to eat snacks or full meals, lots of bars water sports and boat trips available from the marina.

Lovely historic building, it's only small but well worth having a look inside.
