Café Calenda

I have eaten here dozens of times over many Camino trips and it is one of my favorite places in Logrono. Food is great and they are always very patient with a chuckle American pilgrim.

I suspect the bad reviews are based on misunderstanding. Order at the bar, take your stuff or go sit down and have a.drink while you wait. Dont expect your usual Olive Garden waiter service.

Adapt and enjoy.

We enjoyed a lot our pieces of cake. Moreover, the atmosphere as well as the service was remarkably wonderful. I will come there in other ocassion.

Delicious Breakfast, lovely waitress estivaliz, she is very talented and charming. They also have very good price. Lots of food options to accommodate everyone's needs.

Great food, lovely salad, fish and vegetables, traditional cheesecake was tasty, nice wine, staff were so lovely I wish we were staying in Logrono more than one night. Very good value, nice atmosphere.

It can be difficult to find now bar food in Logrono. The old city is set up for tapas and drinks and nothing really opens until 7 PM. However, Calenda on Calle de Portales is an exception. They have a pilgrims menu at 11 Euros. We had looked for dinner since 5 PM and found them at 7 PM when another bar referred us to them. My wife ordered the hake, a grilled white fish and I ordered the grilled salmon which came with grilled vegetables. Both were surprisingly good. The desert menu was broad. My wove had a very generous portion of fresh Mellon, and I had a traditional Spanish cheesecake. Both were good. The service was good, with the young women who served us checking in without hovering. For pilgrims who have spent all day walking I would recommend Calenda as a good restaurant that provides good value for an 11 Euro dinner.

Went here for late-night churros and hot chocolate. Delicious!

Fuimos en septiembre y desayunamos todos lo días aquí . Hemos vuelto pasando por el Camino de Santiago y hemos vuelto a parar a por esas tortillas rellenas... Servicio excelente y tortillas muy ricas a precio económico. Encantados!

Estuvimos súper a gusto.
Fuimos dos días uno a tomar, y otro a cenar.
Todo buenísimo.
Los empleados majísimos.
Y cantidad de comida, muy bien de precio
