Lovely place almost in the middle of nowhere. The surrounding areas are like desert but they have created a green paradise in the camp.
Huge place and lot of shade. Payed 34€ with electricity and wifi in August. Wifi is NOT GOOD at all and i used my mobile data for internet.
Nice swimming pool and a indoor game area with pool table, darts and table tennis.
Direct access to the beach. Its almost a private beach. Not croudy and lot of shade on the beach!
A small supermarket 1 min walking distance and Día supermarket 10min away by car.
Definitely will return 👍🩷

This is a quite fantastic site by the Med shore line... quiet, peaceful, relaxing...nice pool for a swim or when it's suitable the sea. Lots of hot water, lots of showers, washing machine/tumble dry/ironing board. There's a little shop about three minutes walk from the site entrance that sells just about anything you want/need... it's possible to walk on a pedestrian path for quite a distance from the site...past an old keep that had historical defense purpose.

Lovely site on the beach with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Staff are friendly and helpful. Showers are a little dated but clean and hot. Not the best beach in Spain due to the dark grey sand. Would come here again.

I loved this place! I have to be honest, it was one of my favourite places so far! Quiet, clean and tidy and with an utterly unforgettable view!
I have never parked so close to the sea before at a campsite and the view was amazing!!
Even though we were unlucky enough to have a storm on one of the days we were there, watching the sea during the storm was phenomenal!
The campsite itself is great, a well stocked shop, a nice restaurant and a very nice bar with an outdoor seating area with a natural tree and vine roof, very nice indeed. Many pitches have water taps and drainage at no extra cost, which is very much appreciated, and the site has free Wi-fi too, always a very nice bonus!
All staff were friendly, happy and spoke very good English.
Improvements are being visibly made to the toilet and shower block, which is good to see, as it shows that the campsite owners are reinvesting in their property and care about their visitors needs.
All in all, for what I thought would originally be a days stopover, we ended up staying 5 nights and would have stayed longer if we had more time.
I highly recommend this site!!

One of the best sites we have stayed at. The shower and toilet blocks are very clean. Showers are nice and hot, pitches and site are very well maintained by Paco who is friendly and very helpfull. The office staff are great. The local shop is fully stocked and the owners are also very helpfull. All in all a great site. We will be back very soon.

We have stayed here many times usually Feb or March. The pitches are large enough for a motorhome with plenty of outside space for table and chairs etc. All pitches are well defined and contain water filling taps , grey waste disposal end electricity. The reception staff are always helpful, polite and cheerful. The toilets and showers although dated are clean and there's plenty of hot water for the showers. The beach has black sand which is not for everyone but we like it. We will be here again...

Beautiful site with plenty of charm. Quiet idyllic setting with pitches next to sea that soothe you to sleep! Pitches are well laid out with electrics, water and waste . Bar and restaurant good choice of food and excellent draught beer Alhambra! Pool is nicely laid out with shallow and deep end! Reception very helpful and supportive.
All in all we loved our stay!

Very good site right on the edge sea with its own narrow beach. Shower block and toilets are clean and more than adequate but could do with being modernised. A well stocked shop in the village is the only shop and if wanting to see surrounding countryside a car is a must. The bus service is totally non-existent.

Lovely relaxed site, great plots, shaded by trees, fab showers etc, bar restaurant very authentic and great food and atmosphere. Walk to local friendly supermarket. Good for serious cyclists. Walk to bigger village with bars etc about 20 minutes.

Have been coming here for nine years. So we like it but the WiFi could be much better. Up and down, off and on all day. The toilets have improved but still don't flush half the time

Keep asking me to review camping Castillo. It's now home to me. However, I've never raved about the site café as I've found it uninviting and dull, but, things are looking up there. The quality of the food served I've found to be first rate. The menu is sensibly composed for the likely clientele. It should be packed out. It isn't...........yet. I would like to keep the site secret bit I'm afraid it's getting busier and busier. Deservedly so. Five stars just aren't enough.

Another great stay at this Green, Little gem of a campsite. The site has a relaxed feel, no one is on your back. Our third time here and it won't be our last.

Lovely green campsite next to a stoney beach....very relaxing and quiet. The only downfall were the bathrooms ...they looked old and neglected but it looked like they were in the middle of changing them so maybe next time we go they will look better. Apart from that ..the restaurant/bar friendly staff and if it wasnt for the wind we would have stayed a bit longer!!

Fantastic location, Superb facilities and lovely friendly people. We had a plot that had the sea the other side the fence. Lovely to have a gate from the campsite onto the beach.

Been coming here for the last eight years (November to April) to spend the winter in the sun. It's a very basic campsite; with dated, but very clean facilities. All pitches have fresh water, waste water and electricity; most are almost level. There's a bar/restaurant on site.

To the east, the nearby hamlet of Castillo de Banos (500m) has a small supermarket, and a very good bar/restaurant (El Paraiso); whilst the local town, La Mamola, (2km) has shops, bars, bank and Mayor's office.

To the west, the village of Casarones (500m) sports the "famous" Nico's Bar/bistro, which serves excellent local foods, at very good prices. Further west, is the town of Castell de Ferro (6km), which has shops, supermarket, bank, pharmacy, dentists and doctors; and of course, a variety of bars and restaurants.

At 18km, the city of Motril, has everything you'd expect of a small city - hypermarkets, shops, medical centre and hospital, veterinarians, bars , restaurants, motor vehicle services etc., etc.

It's a beautiful place! Very friendly staff, lovingly made and very close to the beach. In the small village you'll find a supermarket where you can buy everything you need. We'll come back!!!
