Casa Puga

I think it is the most cultural "tapas" place in Almería. It is a very nice place with a great ambiance, but you should definitely consider the crowd inside since it is both popular and cheap the vast majority of the locals are coming here for tapas. I have been there twice just for the "salted almonds and smoked&dried tuna tapa"

Considering we love "not touristic" places and enjoy where locals eat, we tried "Casa Puga," and it was absolutely worth it. The raciones were big and tasty, served in pure Spanish style, in a place full of history. The waiters were super friendly, and the beer and sangria were top-notch. Highly recommended for an authentic Spanish tapas experience!

Nice atmosphere, we had some tapas and drinks, I've been visiting Almería on my sailing trip to Mallorca on the solar powered catamaran.

Top notch traditional drinks and tapas. Each drink includes a tapas and you can add extra tapas if you ain't drinking fast enough. Everything is delicious and the atmosphere is buzzing and the decor is super quaint

Really great Tapas! This place has a very traditional Tapas bar atmosphere. Portions are perfect and yes, one free tapa per drink ordered. Does not have to be alcohol. Tapas only served in the bar area. Can fill up fast. Make this a stop on your visit!

Could not fault this place. A very old restaurant with a great atmosphere. Great Tapas and excellent staff. A must, on your trip to Almeria. I highly recommend casa Puga.

The best tapas bar in spain bar none. You may have to queue as its always full but its well worth the wait.

We love this popular traditional tapas bar. We always tend to gravitate to this place when we are in the city! Full of atmosphere, good small bites and beer. Always worth a visit!

Very busy at night (for good reason) so don't arrive here hungry, be prepared to wait a little. The tapas (free with drink) and dishes were both great)

The most absolutely authentic Spanish dining experience you can have. Possibly the best place I have ever eaten. This place is so good that it should have a warning to tourists that eating here may cause a sudden and overwhelming urge to relocate to Spain. LISTEN, if you are in Almeria and do not come here for tapas it is a crime! The quality to price ratio is off the charts. The food is amazing and it is quite possible to satisfy yourself by simply dining on the free tapas that are included with your drinks. It is nearly impossible to spend more then 20 euros a person here no matter how much you eat and drink as long as you stick to tapas and half plates. The staff was incredibly welcoming to us despite our limited Spanish, even providing us with tips and recommendations for other places to see and eat. The house wine (vino de pais) is amazing and I still have dreams about the Boquerones en vinagre.

Authentic “Almeriense” Gastronomic experience. This is the place your grandparents came to have a drink and tapa. The fish options are superb. Located right in the middle of the center, this place is must-try if your looking for a traditional Spanish dining adventure.

Very busy place. Everything was tasty, guys vere nice. Atmosphere was 10/10. EUR 17 for 5 beers and 7 tapas. Great value for money in my opinion. But!!!! Come early, it gets crowded in seconds:)!

Good tapas, I recommend the shirts as they are very tasty. Good experience in Almeria to come in this old tapas restaurant.
