Pointer Veterinary Clinic Marbella

This is the One-of-a-kind veterinary clinics you hope to find when your loved pet, in our case an 11 year old Jack Russell terrier, is taken ill and you are abroad. Murphys law is very often applicable, so the symptoms of our dog appeared Saturday afternoon. He couldn't keep his food and it continued with a total refusing of eating and drinking. He was clearly dehydrated when we without an appointment took him to Pointer clinic Monday morning. He was examined within five minutes and got emergency care at the spot. There we planned for the next step. A thorough examination with X-ray and blood-tests if necessary next day. It was...our dog was then treated outpatient (day by day) for the rest of the week. We know that this treatment saved his life and we are so grateful for that. He was treated not only professionally, but also with much love from all the employees. Manifested in the fact that he 1) freely and with no hesitation followed the vet when coming back as outpatient. 2) when having walked him after such a day outside the clinic he promptly wanted to go back to the clinical instead of following us back home. 3) the day after coming home after completed treatment we received a really caring follow-up call from the vet.
A little trivia; the last day he was outpatient was due to the fact we wanted it. The vet did not think it was necessary.

We have an 8 year old Chihuahua and and just got a 4 months old English Toy Terrier.

I had a lot of visits to this place and I always felt they did a great job. They always put the animal first. That's the experience during the regular checkups, like they told me the Chihuahua needed to loose weight to live longer.

A few days ago our new 4 months old puppy broke her leg. I imidiately brought her to this place. They dropped everything and gave her the best treatment possible. They kept calling orthopaedics until they found someone good who could give her surgery the same day. It was not easy but they made it happen.

I'm also impressed that they often immediately knows that's something wrong like a skin condition, a nutrition issue etc.

Their pricing is above the average in Spain but I think it's fair and definitely affordable for Puerto Banus.

We were on a weekend break and my dog caught a virus. Pointers were fantastic and fixed her up no trouble. They're my go-to vets on the coast now. 👍

Our 14, almost 15 year old dog Liri had an infection and abscess in her tooth and a large lump on the back of her thigh. She had to have 6 teeth removed and the lump surgically removed also. I was so impressed and grateful for the unbelievable attention, thoroughness, and care throughout Liri’s treatment. Pointers Clinic really is the very highest quality Vet Clinic on the whole of the Costa del Sol. Apart from having to wear a cone It’s like Liri has had nothing done, she’s is in such a good state of health (and she is typically a very dramatic dog). I cannot recommend Pointers enough, taking your pets here is the very best thing you can do for their well-being. Our second dog and American Cocker Spaniel who is a nervous dog loves going to Pointers and appreciate the whole team and the sausages he gets from them especially! It is rare to find a clinic where the entire team are so competent, compassionate, professional, and thorough. Thank you so much!

This has been my best go to vet ever. Since finding my dog Chico. He really loves them too.

They took my very sick cat in with no appointment ASAP and treated him immediately with the best profesional and warm care. He stayed 3 nights and I got updates, videos and calls throughout each day to inform me on every stage and process of his treatment and how he was doing.
Great staff!! Warm, friendly, very efficient, I felt my cat was in the best hands posible and as if he was with family and not a scary hospital.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Andre and his staff. Alice our sausage dog became very ill during our stay in Marbella. Andre immediately diagnosed Alice's condition infact he saved her life and for that we will be eternally grateful. Pointers is by far the best vet I have ever been too. The staff are all so caring and kind. Nothing at all is a problem. I cant recommend these guys enough. A 5 star vet which we can not thank enough.

Me and my Friends was here to take a vaccination om hers dog and they was very gently and Good service.

We were recommended to use this clinic by our neighbours here in Spain, it is so daunting being away from the UK and not knowing what to do when needing vetinary care. Our dog developed an ulcer on his eye- he is already very partially sighted in his other eye so went seemingly blind overnight before we realised what was wrong!

The experience of using these vets, from the first call I made to make an appointment, to the friendly reception staff and lovely vet himself was fantastic. It was so reassuring to have such a calm, knowledgable veterinarian when I was feeling so upset and unnerved about our dog becoming poorly whilst we were here on holiday. We were even asked to email photos of our dogs eye to the surgery once we were back in the UK so they could see for themselves the progression of healing. Really grateful to all and highly recommend.

My dogs have been going to Pointers for many years. Andre and his team go way beyond the call of duty. Our chocolate labrador had a nasty fall while we were on holiday. They took care of everything and she stayed with them until we could get home. As you can imagine we were distraught to know our precious girl had been in an accident but knowing Pointers were looking after her made the time until we could get home bearable. Thank you so much Pointers!

I would just like to say how fantastic Andre and his team are at Pointer Veterinary Clinic. If it hadn't of been for their swift diagnosis of leishmaniasis disease, we would have lost our beautiful dog Ziggy. The advice, support and professionalism of the Pointer Vet staff was very impressive. I would recommend this Vet to everyone, I can not thank you enough!

Our dog was more then 10 days in the hospital from Andrè and his super Team. We are so happy, that he has helping our dog a lot and has him live the rescued. For us it is the best Veterinary Clinic on the coast. Thank you for all André & Team!!!!

Our border terrier, Jimbo, became seriously ill in Marbella on 1st October this year so we took him as an emergency to the Pointer clinic who we had used for about 15 years. Andre Evers, the principal vet immediately admitted Jimbo and he was later diagnosed with diabetes and Cushing’s Disease. After some intensive care treatment and monitoring for three weeks Jimbo’s condition stabilised and he was back to his former healthy condition albeit he needs ongoing medication for his ailments. I cannot praise Andre and his team too highly because, without doubt, they did save his life. Nothing was too much trouble for them and unlike all clinics in England that we have used in the past Andre Evers’ fees were very reasonable and we could always contact the clinic by phone for advice. I wholeheartedly recommend the Pointer Veterinary Clinic in Marbella to anyone who needs medical care for their pet. Albert and Cathy Mitchell

We called Christmas Day morning as both our dogs, Timo and Teddie, were unwell with diarrhoea and vomiting (one since three days) Never been to this Vet before as we are new to the area. Andre agreed to meet us at the surgery in 10 minutes! He gave both dogs injections and a series of tablets. By the end of the day both were recovering. They both recovered completely within a couple of days. I cannot thank Andre enough for his quick and very effective attention and for coming out on Christmas Day.

After nearly 5 months and 3 other very good vetinary practices in both the U.K. and Spain, Andre finally came up with a clinical regime that is helping my baby boy, Sidney. Phone calls at midnight along with videos and photos, replies to my frantic, and some might say, obsessive, messages 7 days a week and visits to the surgery late at night and even Sunday's !!!!! Thank you, feels way to insignificant when i consider the gratitude for the care and compassion that Sidney received and the patience and tolerance afforded to me. I can recommend some great vets here and the U.K. but if you want the best, this is the place to come
