Surf House As Furnas

As a beginner surfer I came to the surfhouse as furnas and stayed for one week. I loved the apartments, which are extremely clean and designed in a way to hang out with the other guest in a family like atmosphere while still allowing you to have time for yourself. Kathi is an amazing host and would do anything to make her guests happy. She thereby caters to individual preferences of guests and makes sure that they have everything to enjoy the surfing, the yoga and the whole stay at the surfhouse. I have the feeling she would even try to change the weather if that is necessary :)

Beautiful house, excellent surf classes and surf coach, good food and lucky to have met special souls this week at Surf House As Furnas. The location is perfect for a stroll to the beach or grabbing one of the bikes for a sunset drink at one of the chiringuitos. They offer yoga and massages too which is great. The main purpose why you visit, the surf lessons or guiding, is high standard and personalised. They have many boards for you to choose from and always find the best spot for the conditions. Buena onda guaranteed :)

This place is as good as it gets when it comes to a surf house. I've seen countless surf camps, hostels and houses, but As Furnas is one of a kind. Kathi is the spirit of the house and makes this place into what it is, you will feel right at home as soon as you arrive. Everyday the best surf spots as scouted, there is a huge kitchen where you can cook, or try her incredibly tasty dishes that can also be requested vegan if needed! The rooms are beautiful and light, and no matter if you want to stay by yourself or make new friends, everything is possible here. I cannot recommend this place enough, you won't be disappointed.

I spent five days in August and would have stayed longer had there been availability! The house is spotless, comfortable, and has a BEAUTIFUL yard! Kathi is the most amazing host! She goes above and beyond with everything! Her meals are outstanding! Her thoughtfulness and cheer makes you feel like a valued guest and friend. All guest were super friendly making this surf house really feel like a home. The massages are incredible too!!!

The surf house is worth it. Highly recommend!

Accomodation: Nice and clean, seaview, pool, fully equipped kitchen, pretty everything needed.
Surf: Kathi always chooses the best spot, lineups are empty, Gonni and Alex are good instructors. They help you to catch lots of waves.
Vibe: Most guests are second or third time here, Kathi makes you feel like home.

It was a wonderful surf experience at Kathy’s surfhouse. I rarely saw someone being that careful with her guests, at the exact point between gentleness, disponibility and professionalism. The surfhouse offers everything a surfer (or a wannabe surfer) can dream of: very good surf equipment and advise from Kathy, high quality yoga classes and massajes from Sina and top of the class accommodation. Loved it !

The surf around Xuno is pretty epic. No crowds, spots for any wind and swell direction - Loved it! My girlfriend was pretty stoked on the surf-school program at Surfhouse As Furnas too. Felt like a surf-trip turning into a family affair with nice accommodation, great breakfast and the beautiful people in town. Would definitely recommend a stay!

Stay at As Furnas Surfhouse for 10 days and had a blast. Kathi is maybe one of the coolest Surfcoaches, Cooks, & more, out there. Definitely will come back and surf with you and the crew! See you soon :)

Kathi is an amazing host. The House is lovely, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good and the dinner (you can book) is amazing.

Surfing:
There are small groups for surflessons, you have two sessions a day (2x 1,5h) with a little break in between. Hodey is an awesome teacher! My surfingskills improved a lot. Different beaches to approach.

In addition you can book yoga and a massage. The garden has a pool and you can take the bikes to be at the beach in less then 10 min. The surfcamp is in a little town. There is a supermarket and a pharmacy.

It is perfect for you if you are looking for a lovely place for surfing, staying in an awesome house and getting some time to hike and relax away from all the tourists crowded places.

It is not perfect for you, if you look for partying and going out every night.

I already want to go back immediately! (Just left yesterday).

Best place to start surfing ever

Kathi hat einen Ort zum Wohlfühlen geschaffen. Nach 2 Wochen im Camp bin ich absolut begeistert. Die Surfkurse sind toll, der Garten ein Traum zum verweilen und Kathis Herzlichkeit, gute Laune und Kochkünste runden das Ganze ab.

Hatte eine tolle Zeit im Surf House. Kathi kümmert sich perfekt um alle Gäste, das Haus und die Zimmer sind super sauber, das Essen ist lecker und täglich werden die Spots zum Surfen so ausgewählt, dass möglichst gute Bedingungen herrschen. Surflehrer sind auch top. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ich hatte eine wunderbare Zeit im Surf House As Furnas mit netten Menschen, tollen Surfstunden sowie entspannenden Yoga-Sessions.
Kathi ist eine wunderbare und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, die sich stets darum bemüht, allen einen perfekten Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen.
Durch die professionelle Unterstützung der Surflehrer konnte ich als Anfängerin schon schnell Fortschritte machen.
Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Das war wirklich ein perfekter Aufenthalt im Surf House.

Kathi und Celeste bringen einfach so viel Energie und Liebe in dieses Haus. Einfach toll. Zimmer auf einem Top-Hygiene-Standard. Vor allem sind die Abendessen zu empfehlen, die man dazu buchen kann. Lecker.

Toller Surfurlaub in traumhafter Umgebung. Kathi ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, gute Köchin und noch bessere Surflehrerin. Das Surfhouse As Furnas ist wunderschön angelegt, mit tollem Garten und Pool. In der Nähe befinden sich mehrere Surfspots die alle innerhalb weniger Autominuten zu erreichen sind. Jeden Tag werden die Spots mit den besten Bedingungen angefahren. Die Strände sind sehr leer und auch die Line Ups nie zu voll. Nicht zu vergleichen mit Frankreich oder Portugal. Die Surfgruppen sind sehr klein gehalten, sodass man wirklich Fortschritte machen kann. Nach dem Surfen bietet Kathi Yoga und Massagen an. Jeden Abend kann man aus 2 Menüs zum Abendessen wählen, wenn man im Surfhaus essen möchte. Ich habe eine tolle Woche bei Kathi verbracht und würde am liebsten gleich wieder hinfahren!

Einmal As Furnas, immer As Furnas. Schnell haben wir verstanden, warum man im Surfhaus so vielen Stammgästen begegnet. Mit entspannter Professionalität, Spontanität, Herzlichkeit und viel Humor sorgt Kathi mit ihrem Team für ein Rundum Sorglos Aufenthalt von der Unterkunft über die Verpflegung bis zum Surfen. Wir haben eine tolle Woche genossen, so dass auch wir ganz bestimmt wieder kommen.

Absolut zu empfehlen! Kathi ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, Köchin und auch Surflehrerin. Die Unterkunft ist schön eingerichtet, sauber und bietet alles was man braucht. Zudem werden auch Yoga, Massagen und Weiteres für wenig Geld angeboten. Zum Surfen ist die Gegend super, da sie weniger überlaufen ist und es bei schlechten Bedingungen mehrere Buchten gibt, auf die man ausweichen kann.

Tolles Surfhouse. War bereits 5x da und was soll ich sagen, best place to be😃. Kathy ist eine super Gastgeberin. Genial sind auch die fast menschenleeren Strände. Für Leute wie mich die gerne ihre Ruhe haben am Strand, heaven on earth😋.

Super Surf House, super Surflehrerin, tolles Frühstück, tolle Betreuung, Kommunikation im Vorfeld verlief reibungslos. 100% Weiterempfehlung.

sehr gemütliches surfhaus. sympathische betreuung auf und neben dem surfbrett durch kathi, welche dir die wünsche von den lippen liest.
ebenfalls gibt sie dir bereitwillig auskunft, wo und wann du am besten surfen kann. oder sie nimmt dich gleich mit in den surfkurs.
