What a lovely place. Touristy? Yes - but for generations. Now the 3rd generation is handling and it is a very welcoming atmosphere!
Food is fresh and delicious.
The housewine - in magnum size - is recommendable

We stayed one night in Denia and went to Hero for dinner. We were only 2 so we were offered one of the two tables left. Therefore: reservation suggested.

Food was really good. The sea brass filled with salmon mousse just amazing. The service was top. And they always had time for a nice chat besides.

Amazing restaurant

What an Incredible restaurant !! Have been eating here for many years and can honestly say have never been disappointed. From the moment you walk in the service, atmosphere are second to none. Food is outstanding we always recommend to family and friends when they are over and everyone is of the same opinion. Beautiful food/wines attentive service, in our opinion the best place to eat in Els Poblets 💕👌☺ Mandy& Charlie

We stopped here by accident, but didn’t regret at all! This place had a nice evening ambiance with fires and calm music. The waiters were really nice and talkative, willing to give advice on the menu. We ordered seasonal starter with artichokes and poached egg and it was so delicious! Second course was entrecote with mushrooms and onions, which arrived a bit raw for my taste so that they grilled it more without hesitation. They gave us also some appetizers on the house with digestive shots at the end. They also have non-alcoholic digestive. The experience was very good :)

Sit outside under the covered patio - shaded in summer and warmed by cosy fire warmers in the chillier months. Try the duck in cherry sauce - washed down with a terrific local Valencia red wine, and smile raising a toast to Google maps reviews 😁

Absolute Gem of a find, fantastic friendly staff, awesome food and plenty of it, this was my second visit 1st time we sat outside as it was warmer, this time inside this place is my new eatery

Went with a party of 10, everything was handled smoothly. Service was good and the food was excellent. Would highly recommend it if you are able to go. Have the double grand dessert even if it just for yourself. You won't be disappointed 😀

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Alicante, the food is beautiful and when i say beautiful it comes from a very high taste in food person, the management the chef beautiful people as well! Love you guys

Came last night for food we were very satisfied highly recommended the haddock and Chips absolutely delicious along with the salad bowl and there delicious cocktail sauce Absolutely Yummy

Just had our second visit to this fantastic place. Food is amazing and service impeccable. Cannot fault anything. Especially good is the caramel chocolate with orange sorbet dessert... just to die for delicious. Cannot wait to return and try some of the other dishes on offer.

After a gap of 2 1/2 years due to covid and other medical issues we finally managed a Sunday lunch at Hero's. How was it - superb! Brilliant food, attentive service, excellent wine. Thank you Juan while the boss man was having a well earned break!

We enjoyed a really good evening at Restaurant Hero. The staff are all friendly and very obliging. I can't fault the food, everything was cooked perfectly and served with a good selection of fresh vegetables and a choice of 3 potato dishes. Highly recommended.
