Restaurante La Barrica de Potes

Lovely dinner by the river, with a beautiful view of Potes and the mountains. The service was exceptional, and the food was unique and tasty! We ordered the tomatoes with cheese, grilled vegetables, croquettes, grilled prawns, bonito (albacore) with onions, lamb rack, and cheesecake. Paired with a refreshing apple cider wine. The young man who served us was very professional and attentive. What a great find!

We had a great experience here. The view is amazing. Food was excellent, we loved everything we ordered, especially the zamburiñas. They also have very food bread. We had 3 starters and one dessert to share among the two of us and it was plenty of food. Great service.

The restaurant has a great view on the outside terrace, the inside is kept very elegant and rustical.
The customer is treated with care by the service staff, dishes are served and explained in an elegant way.
The dishes taste delicious and wine is tastefully.
All the good stuff comes with a price, you are in an upper class restaurant, you pay for it but you will enjoy it fully.

The grill menu is amazing. The waiters are above and beyond. If I could give it 6 stars I would!

This is a must go-to restaurant if you are visiting Potes.Friendly staff, Service was quick and English was well understood. The meniu included a variety of Spanish cuisine. While waiting for food we admire the great view the restaurant offered.

Very nice place with a fantastic view from their terrace over the river and Picos de Europa. The food was excellent, as well as the service.

Everything our group ordered was absolutely delicious, the setting was lovley and the price more thsn fair. I cannot recommend tgis place enough. We had the zamburiñas, the gambas, the goat cheese salad, the pulpo, the chuleton de ternera, the bacalao and the sea bass and no tone dish fell short. The portions are large so sharing is recommend, especially for the chuleton which was almost a kilo. I would recommend the canonigo de potes dessert - it was a real crowd pleaser. The views from the terrace are beautiful but as it is glass you are protected from the wind and get to enjoy only a slight breeze.

We had zamburriñas (scallops), solomillo and the cod fish with tomato sauce...we love it!, no picture, too hungry..sorryyy...very good atmosphere...

Excellent location and very attentive staff. Beautiful balcony tables. Best service I have seen in awhile too! Delicious steak meal, salad and fish dish. Accommodating to a special request of vegetable side dish. Reserve in advance for best seating.

I had this restaurant on my shortlist from prior research and it was also recommended by the hotel owner where we were staying.

From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and the service was as good as any restaurant I’ve ever been to. Just the right balance between efficiency and friendliness. The lamb chops were nothing short of spectacular. Many years ago I had the same in Abruzzo and never thought they could be matched. Well they have been now! Absolutely amazing flavour. So different from what we get back home. The dessert was Mason, a cooked meringue with custard and a caramel. It was great. And I haven’t even mentioned the view. Book a table on the terrace above the river and you’ll have a view of the old town and the mountains. Wonderful.

The last thing we did before we left was book again for the following evening and it was just as good. Just go.

We took octopus (twice) , tomato and fresh cheese salad, garlic prawns and lamb chops, with white wine. Everything was very good!

Excellent service, beautiful view from the terrace. Lamb was exceptional, we've paid double at home for lesser quality. Scallops and prawns appetisers both delicious.

The food is just incredible, prepared with passion and dedication. The stuff has a great attitude, well trained, they know their job.

Food was super good. Roased leg of Lamb was huge in size and just so well prepared and good quality.

We tasted various plates and all of them redefined my standards of "Good taste".
I hope we'd have the chance to come back again!
