Amazing place! The food was absolutely delicious as (I expected from all the reviews) from start to end and the staff was very lovely. Our waiter was a pleasure to talk to and would entertain us with her quick wit. Our table ordered the market menu but hoping someday i can come back for the tasting menu

The food is very flavorful and diverse. I particularly liked the liquid salad with the Pyrenees trout.
Small portions, but enough to get you full by the end of the meal, even for the shortest menu.
The presentation, design, service, everything is very good.
And the price is pretty fair, for a Michelin star: one menu of 100 euros, and another one of 150. For wine pairing add 100 more. But if you are not a heavy drinker, wine is also served by the glass. An amazing San Sebastian experience!

Lovely restaurant in the heart of the old town. Cozy atmosphere. We had tasting menu and all the dishes were professionally fulfilled. Only high quality ingredients. Especially we enjoyed local fish and seafood. Highly recomened for nice gastronomic experience.

Excellent, relaxed Michelin dining. Good atmosphere and not at all stuffy. But don’t let that fool you - the food is divine.
We opted for a tasting menu with accompanying wine flight, which worked extremely well.
Imaginative, creative, beautifully presented food, which they will swap out if there is something you don’t eat (I don’t eat red meat and the ‘alternative’ could easily be on the main tasting menu).

Divine culinary experience! Some of the best dishes and flavors we’ve had in food and wine in our lifetime. Get the tasting menu with wine pairing. It’s worth the cost because it is a culinary delight. The sommelier walks you through a history of the local and regional wines, many of which are 100-200 bottle productions in Spain. The chefs attention to detail and his ability to meld flavors together is something of magic.

Outstanding from the moment we arrived. The food was special and so professional, we went all out. Wine waiter Victor selected the best wines. Perfect space and location in old town. Definitely come back!

A cute lil gastro restaurant serving marvelous, innovative food. Their wine pairings often are unique and add to the enjoyment of the meal.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant. Wonderful food, lovely ambience and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our first time at a Michelin Star restaurant and if we ever get the opportunity to go to another one we'd happily chose to go here again as we know it would be a brilliant experience that we'd never forget.

This place, located a few minutes walk from the port of San Sebastian is just magnificent. We had a dinner yesterday and took the full tasting menu. From the beginning to the end the service has been very warm and welcoming, very helpful and explained happily about every dish we had. The food is super fresh, combination are unique and the plating is very precise and gorgeous. Very good variety of wines, mostly locals which was excellent to our taste. Definitely a must go on your next vacation and well deserved the Michelin star

My wife and I did a gastronomical honeymoon and Kokotxa was a must on our way, though finding an open table required anticipation I have to say the wait was worth in the end. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with fishing Basque hand made sculptures, a serene and easy going atmosphere; the service was fantastic, all waiters/waitresses are greatly prepared and trained, kind and helpful, their wine suggestions came out fantastic, both for food and dessert; we took the highly requested long sequence menu: it is absolutely fantastic, the technique, the quality, the taste, all dishes where on spot, one of my favorite Michelin experiences so far, well deserved, highly recommended!

A lovely meal and even better service. The sommelier was so passionate and the waitstaff so caring. We had a lovely time. They even adjusted our menu to add in the namesake of the restaurant as we felt we could not leave without trying it (even though we did the market menu instead of the tasting menu as it had things we were a bit more interested in). Highly recommended.

The sommelier was amazing, not only knew his wines inside out - but was a great character all-in-all, with impeccable English. The general server, and the lady that took our booking/greeted us upon entry were also both fantastic. Such personable yet professional service which is so important to pair with the fantastic work of the kitchen. Couldn’t fault it and incredible value for money

Snagged a last minute table on a Wednesday night and was throughly impressed with everything except the starting appetizer of salmon on dry crackers that stuck to my teeth.

But after that, the spider crab with jalapeño cream was heavenly. The cream had the essence of jalapeño and none of the bite.

The lobster was perfectly crunchy and just bursting with flavor. And the pigeon was wonderfully paired with beet root purée.

10/10 would come back again 🚀

Our last night in San Sabastian and we had an amazing meal! The food was delicious and beautifully presented by well trained staff.
We enjoyed a lot of different restaurants in San Sabastian but this was outstanding!

The staff were very friendly and attentive. We decided on the Market Menu and it was well worth it. One of the dishes was replaced with their kokotxa dish and we were very glad! The flavours and execution were great and I thought the meal had a nice trajectory. The only slight let down was a less exciting dessert.

Great food. Small and cozy restaurant. Nice interior and friendly staff. Menu was (at the time) very fish based, which was amazing (and not surprising given it's the coast) but worth noting for those who are not fish fans.

Michelin star restaurant located in the old town of San Sebastián. All dishes were delicious and well explained by the very friendly staff. A lovely surprise of flavors and overall amazing experience! Extremely recommended!
