Asador Ruta del Ibérico

During our week-long stay in Benalmádena Malaga, we found this restaurant in google and the reviews were great so we took a risk to walk 30-40 minute walk from our hotel near Fuengirola and it was a risk worth taking. The food was exceptional, and the overall experience was so amazing that even when we moved hotel to Torremolinos we decided to take a cab to revisit before heading home. The flavors were outstanding, the service was excellent, and the decision to dine here was one we never regretted. Highly recommended 💯

Went there for my birthday but used to go years ago all the time and nothing has changed absolutely lovely food and our waiter was brilliant (can’t remember his name sadly) definitely get any of the steaks they’re fab

This is a very nice restaurant with an excellent location. Their service has always been friendly and everything has worked really well. We have been here often and all portions are really well prepared. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're a friend of excellent food 💯

Great food, full of flavour. We had walked past here a few times and always saw it busy and thought to try it, and I am glad we did. I ordered the croquettes for starter and they were amazing and had a nice flavour, I then ordered the BBQ ribs and they were so tender, the meat just fell of the bone, the sauce was really nice and not too overpowering too. I would recommend here if you are a fan of meat as they have a really good selection.

What a gemof a place . Waiters so friendly . The food was just tremendous. Pil pil prawns were just perfect . The ribs were some of the best I have tasted lots of tender juicy meat in a barbecue sauce . I have passed this place many times why oh why. Definitely will be back

Stopped here for a light refreshment or two. Looking around the resturant and seeing the cuts of meat and cheeses in the fridge made us go back for dinner
Finally decided on a steak, all cuts come from the Simmentel cow. Had it cooked medium as suggested by the waiter also we had the Tropical salad 🥗
Starter was Iberian ham on a bed of toast and tomatoes.
Would say it is ££ to £££ for the cost of a couple of meals and drinks 🍸

One of the best steaks I've had. Great atmosphere, and clearly loved by the locals too (always a good sign) good value, great wine - will be back when next in the area

The best pork I ever tasted in my life, delicious flan, nice and helpfull staff. I really got nothing to complain about.

What a discovery! Did not plan to go there but I'm so glad we did! We were walking along the promenade when we saw this place. It was pretty busy but they managed to find us a spot without reservation :) the food was amazing but the service was even better. There was this blond waiter, I think he was called Jesus (no kidding!). He went the extra mile for us, to ensure we had a great experience. He explained every dish in detail and made sure we were happy throughout the evening.
I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it!

Edit from my earlier review. The food is still 5 Star, but that's it. Service is terrible. It started with drinks, we ordered 2 beers, Aqua con gas and a glass of summer wine. The latter 2 drinks came as ordered, but the 2 beers were served as 2 red wines which we said was wrong and sent back only to be served again 5 minutes later. At the third attempt we received the beers. Other tables were suffering similar problems, with the staff seeming to be completely overwhelmed.
