Baquiera Beret is like Europe's hidden gem of a ski resort. Compared to their more pricey and popular resorts further north, Baquiera is shockingly very good in both absolute and relative terms.

Even in relatively late season, we experienced snowfall literally every day we were there, pretty much guaranteeing amazing snow and powder experience - this compounded by the fact that the resort is relatively free of large crowds (especially in neighbouring mountains Beret and Bonaigua) and you get some of the most pristine and pleasant pistes in the world.

Infrastructure is excellent with a combination of cable cars and chairlifts that allow you to easily explore the extensive and diverse of pistes of Baquiera; not to mention the accessibility of restaurants, bars and cafes spread out across the resort should you need a quick refreshment or a leisurely meal overlooking the stunning landscape.

The resort boasts a variety of pistes for all skill levels and stamina, offering scenic long runs and technical but still very enjoyable runs in the blacks. I love that many of the trails effortlessly converge and diverge from each other so that you can have the option to move from challenging to easier pistes effortlessly making meeting up with friends regardless of skill level a relatively easy affair.

While English is not widely used and minimally understood (except for the more central services of the resort), we rarely faced problems communicating our needs and people were patient and generally happy to help you. Even a little knowledge in Spanish (or even better, Catalan) will go a long way in getting you around enough to enjoy your time there.

Will it still retain its charm in the coming years as more people discover this understated resort? It's hard to say, but it's definitely become one of my favourites!

The best ski resort!!!! Have been going for years and just gets better each time. Have spent days on end with the family constantly on the same run and have never got board.

Small resort and not entirely covered by snow making. The bits that aren't covered are a bit bare but the burs that are are lovely.

Quiet, chairlifts are all nice enough, the resort is well joined up. All the staff are lovely. Recommended.

Definitely, the best base of snow in the Spanish Pyrenees. It's one of the best places I've skied, ever. I can't wait to come back.

The best Ski resort in Spain . And not only because of the slopes but the food , the ambient and the Áranes hospitality. Spain is so much in such a little geographical área. Would not live anywhere elese

Huge ski resort with slopes for all tastes and levels! The forfait works for all of the different entry points of the resort! We'll equipped with loads of chair lifts and a few t lifts.

Baqueira Beret is the best resort to practice winter sports in the pyrenees, the resort is situated in Catalunya, in Vall’ d Aran, it has some of the most modern sky lifts. If you want to practice skying or Snowboarding you’ve got more than 130 kilometers to do so. You’ll be able to admire amazing views and great mountains, and to live the experience of being in a valley full of life surrounded by a unique and a amazing culture.

This might be one of the best, if not the best ski resort in Spain. I love the location and I think the valley is one of the prettiest spots in the Pyrenees. Eating there is wonderful. The proximity to France makes it have a big influence from it without losing that Spanish and particularly that Catalonian essence to the food

I think that the forfaits are quite expensive and that's always a bum. However, the slopes are top division and the amount of kilometres that can be skied or snowboarded is huge. Totally reccomend

Great ski resort, many long runs, very well organised. We were told before we purchased passes that a number of the lifts/runs were closed due to high winds. Expensive compared to other resorts in the Pyrenees.

Not a huge amount of snow Christmas 2018 but they did very well with not too much snow. Friendly atmosphere and really good quality food on the slopes, not nuggets and fries.

Very nice place for Ski , snowboarding etc. The ticket to use the facility for a day is around 60 euros. Very well maintained and it’s better to recharge the ticket online. Really cool place . The cable car is well maintained. I love this place , you must go for the activity if you are visiting Aran.

Lovely wide blues, not too busy, rarely have to queue for lifts, enough to explore for the week without getting bored. Much cheaper than the Alps. If you get up early enough you can park for free and take the free train to the gondola. What's not to like.

Great snow resort with lots of different runs. The lifts staff were friendly and helpful. Maybe the only thing is that the Apre-ski could go on a bit longer which would have been fun!

Excellent resort. Huge area, good food options, easy access with huge carpark right at the bottom high speed lift.

Best skiing in Europe. Something for everyone. Small town and not a massive apres scene, but this resort is about those who want great skiing and a touch of luxury.

Great place, delicious pizza and fantastic pasta! Friendly staff who let us eat early even though they were fully booked!
