Camping Despeñaperros

It's so beautiful here, service is absolutely incredibly kind. Price isn't high (15e for two adults and tent, for night ), there is lots of shadow. Swimming pool was great. Bar on its side isn't expensive. There are lots of showers and sinks for laundry.

Nice place for a night stay on the way to/from Madrid. Very close to the road.

No grass, a bit dusty (as most of the campings are not in the north). Shady places from the trees.

Camping Despeñaperros is fantastic! After driving for 14 hours, the owner opened reception and the shop even though they had closed and allowed my children and I a quick swim because it was so hot outside (this was summer obviously). He was so kind and friendly; we'll be forever grateful.

Ideally located off the motorway, ideal stopover for drive to Costa del Sol after an early start from either Bilbao or Santander.
Also a great base for hiking in the Parque Nacional where it is located.

Love this site, use as a stopover many times, very nice restaurant opposite site entrance. Decent showers etc. Big pool. Friendly staff. Nice pitches under pine trees..

I really like this campsite, easy for dog walking and just off the motorway, a very convenient stop. A nice welcome and good, clean facilities.

Staff where amazing help, was open late so we could get checked in at 23:00. Showers and bathrooms were clean

Good views. Good for a stopover, located close to the highway and quiet during the night. Good sanitairy facilities.

Good and relaxed place

Ci siamo fermati 2 notti in questo campeggio. Ombreggiato da pini, servizi in ordine e molto puliti, acqua calda a volontà, piccolo negozio, piccolo supermercato a 200 MT dal campeggio. Lo consigliamo.

Уютное место в лесу, приятная атмосфера. Душевые и туалеты чистые. Расположен кемпинг рядом с дорогой, что очень удобно, но саму дорогу практически не слышно.

Schöner, naturnaher Campingplatz am Rande eines riesigen Naturschutzgebiets. Die Stellplätze sind groß und weitgehend eben. Sanitäranlagen sind etwas älter, aber sauber und gepflegt. Restaurant und Schwimmbad in der Nebensaison erwartungsgemäß noch nicht geöffnet. Brot kann für den Folgetag bestellt werden. Der Empfang ist manchmal auf dem Gelände unterwegs, so dass sich das Ein- oder Ausfahren etwas verzögern kann.

Haciendo el Camino de Santiago este año 2023 el 6 de octubre que salí en bici con remolque y mi fiel amigo TED, desde mi casa en Churriana de la Vega ( Granada }. Me pilló la borrasca Bernard entrando en Despeñaperros y no tuve por seguridad, más remedio que alojarme en éste magnífico camping cuatro noches. El trato del personal fué estupendo. Y el precio no estuvo mal, de hecho las dos últimas noches no me cobraron la luz y debido al mal tiempo me dejaron pasarlas a refugio en el cuarto de la lavadora ya que aunque podría haber dormido en la tienda, ahí estuvimos más seguros ya que ésta borrasca entró con fuertes tachas de viento, frío y con lluvia intensa en muchos momentos. Está abierto todo el año y está dentro del casco urbano de Santa Elena muy cerca del centro del pueblo. En otoño e invierno tiene menos servicios funcionando pero si los básicos y necesarios para estar tranquilo y agusto. Y sino en el bonito pueblo tienes varios bares y restaurantes, varías tiendas de alimentación, farmacia, bancos, ferretería y tiendas de otros tipos. Además el camping y el pueblo está situado en pleno parque natural de Despeñaperros por lo que la naturaleza y la tranquilidad las tienes garantizadas así como muchas posibilidades deportivas y lúdicas. En definitiva es un camping que está muy bien en general y muy bien situado. Por mi propia experiencia volvería sin dudar y es totalmente recomendable.

Super camping très calme et très ombragé dans une pinède. Sanitaire très propre, seul bémol, les éviers pour la vaisselle qui pourraient être changés. Très belle piscine. Idéalement situé pour une pause si on emprunte l'A4. Je recommande.

Nahe der Autobahn, somit perfekt für eine kurze Übernachtung. Alte aber sehr saubere und liebevoll gepflegte Sanitäranlagen. Freundliche Inhaber, schöne Plätze im Schatten. Tiptop, wäre auch für mehrere Übernachtungen gut.

Extraordinario, generosa sombra y en cada parcela tiene acceso a grifo de agua y enchufe de forma individual. Llegamos una tarde calurosa y fue como entrar en un oasis. Los baños limpios y para ducharse sin problemas con el agua.. El trato en recepción fue amable y atento. Lo peor que tiene es que aunque poco, se oye la autovía.

Prachtige ligging, mooie fiets en wandelpaden tussen de olijfbomen. Grote plaatsen met mooi uitzicht. Sanitair is prima, schoon, douche met stevige straal en heerlijk warm water. Voor ons helemaal prima als doorreis plaats, volgende keer blijven we iets langer om de streek te verkennen.
