My first visit to Madrid & to find this lovely restaurant was a real treat!!!!

I chose the €16 special - plenty of choice for both dishes & dessert.

The food was very, very tasty, service great (even with minimal English & Spanish & a calm atmosphere.

I certainly would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place & if I return to Madrid it would be my first choice 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

We found this restaurant very nice with some very good vegan and vegetarian dishes. The staff were very friendly. Though they speak only Spanish, google translate helped us. Though the restaurant were quite busy, the service was quite fast. We enjoyed our lunch here.

Update:
Been there again, just before leaving Spain and I would strongly recommend 2 dishes:
1. the risoto verde as 1st course (the white rice dish with a tomato at the top)
2. the quesadilla as 2nd course (the folded tortilla on the picture)

The Menu del Dia at midday is awesome, and the portions are quite large.
The attached pictures show the dishes we had,  not including the deserts.

A 2nd time highly recommended!

Love this place. I visited multiple times during a trip to Madrid last year and couldn't wait to eat here again this month.

The dish I ordered seemed even better than what I remembered.

Whilst the waitress does not speak English, she makes every effort to communicate her message across, which is always appreciated.

The decor is bright and welcoming, and I have loved each and every dish I have tried to date.

WOW! This is some of the best vegan food I’ve eaten in the world and I’m from NYC where vegan is plentiful. Not only was the food some of the best we’ve eaten, but we had a drink, appetizer, first course, second course, AND dessert for only €15!!! Thank you for your hospitality and for representing the vegan and vegetarian community in this positive way. We will always remember you!

Outstanding food, absolutely tasty. Great presentation and flavours. Should try the vegetarian paella. The quesdilla was reallly good. The staff is very nice and speaks adequate English.

We had the mid-sized lunch that included a starter (house select, no option for us to choose but was great), 1 main course, a drink and a dessert for € 12 and it was very filling. The full size course for € 15 or so includes 2 main courses.

Excellent and very plentiful dishes. Very friendly and helpful customer service. Fantastic nachos, the best ones that we have tasted- and it is a really big portion (for 4 people,easy)

Wow....I am not vegetarian, but we found this place just next to the Plaza Mayor down the road from Plaza Sol... absolutely fantastic food. Great size servings, a friendly cook and great staff. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great food.

Great vegetarian restaurant with a rich menu. Service is quick, there are a lot of tables, and the food is really good (the selection of desserts is impressive)! There's a daily menu for lunch, and it's cheap in geneeal. Recommended without a doubt!

Nothing but great experiences when I eat here. Yerbabuena has delicious food made with lots of creativity and love. The waiter kico is very helpful and nice! Good vibes at Yerbabuena! I would recommend the menu when they offer it. The food is very filling and with good portions. I love that they always have fruit juices or smoothies option as a drink. The dessert is heaven! If you haven't tried vegan whipped cream this is the place to try it! They make mouth watering fruit based whipped creamed mousse😍 the mango is incredible. 🤩

Highly recommend this family run place. The menu del dia(menu of the day) is so worth it! There is also half menu option with just one main course instead of two which itself was so filling. The fresh juices were perfect and the dessert at the end was amazing. If you are vegetarian, this is the place to go in Madrid. They have vegan options for most menu items too.

It’s a gem of a place. I loved the taste, presentation and ambience of the place. I ordered vegetarian paella along with Salmorejo and it was delicious. They served a starter as well as tea at the end making the meal complete. To top it I met a local. We had pretty interesting conversations ranging from politics to food. I would highly recommend this place if you are a vegetarian looking for a very local experience.

Fine vegetarian / vegan restaurant, one of the best we ate at. Soup, main course, dessert and a glass of wine 44 € per couple. Lovely hosts, intimate and inviting place. It is highly recommended!

I’m not a vegan nor a vegetarian but their meals just made me want to come back and order everything on the menu. I had the vegan steak, which really was quite savoury (and a huge serving too!). They also have menu options. But even their single plates are already enough for a satisfying meal.

They also have vegan desserts (which I haven’t tried yet).

Great veggie homemade food with fresh products in the center of Madrid We tried different dishes and all of them were delicious. The portions are perfect so you don't end up super but are quiet filling. Totally recommend it.

A hidden gem near plaza mayor for great, healthy vegetarian and vegan food and drinks. The restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere and the lady of the house is so friendly, happy to explain about the food, let you taste, and just have a friendly chat. They have a nice variety of healthy dishes including salads, oven dishes, risotto and much more. Dessert was delicious too. Reasonably priced with 11 eur a dish on the weekend, and 13 eur for menu del dia on weekdays including drink, starter and postre. Viva yerbabuena.

Love this place. Go every time I am in Madrid. It's always such a pleasure to see my non-vegan and non-vegetarian friends rant and rave about the delicious food and stunning presentations as they enjoy their satisfying selections.
