Hotel El Dorado

We enjoyed a very nice 5-night stay at this hotel. Owner is very friendly and welcoming. We had a large triple room with sea views, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable and daily cleaning was done. We could make use of the common lounge area as well that has a grand piano.

It’s low season at this time so we were the only guests in the hotel. The hotel restaurant is closed but there are plenty of breakfast place, tapas bars and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.

Overall a wonderful, relaxing stay and we’d highly recommend to others!

Incredible place to holiday! The rooms are spotlessly clean with all the toiletries you need for your stay. The locations is directly on the beach — perfect for those looking for a blended pool and beach holiday. The staff are super friendly and so accommodating. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

Nice and small hotel in a great location with direct access to the sandy beach. You can fall asleep to the relaxing sound of the waves and wake up for a spectacular sunrise to witness just from your room. The staff is extremely friendly and multi-lingual to feel everyone just like home. I hope to return to the El Dorado in Carboneras one day.

used to be here multiple times while ago - unfortunately founder Eddie Fowlie and brother Dave have passed away - both hotel and rooms have a „movies history“ - even parts of „Lawrence of Arabia“ were filmed close by - esp. Eddie was also working for the movies - so, no wonder that he quickly made fotos from the US bomber which „lost“ a nuclear bomb north of Carboneras in the late 60s - actually over Palomares - and sold them to „Paris Match“ magazine - luckily nothing happened … there are varoius very nice tapa bars downtown

My girlfriend and I can compare it to a lot of 4 star Hotels all over Spain, and it has nothing less than at least half of them.
The owner and Receptionist is speaking (fluent as far as I can tell) 6 languages, and is personally speaking incredibly nice.
You are directly at the beach, and for those who don't like the rocky beaches you have a (again compared to 4 star hotels) big pool.
Our room (119) was spacious, perfectly clean, with a fridge, TV, Internet, Toiletries and overall nicely and new looking.
You hear the waves of the beach crash into the shore from the room, which was pleasant in our opinion.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful place on a perfect beach steeped in cinema history.

Las habitaciones eran simples y cómodas los baños me gustaron la vistas me enamoraron, la verdad se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera unas vacaciones tranquilas , se puede conocer a otras personas fácilmente ya que van también de vacaciones y el servicio me encantó ya que hablaban con tranquilidad y alegría

Calidad precio de maravilla, el edificio muy retro pero me encanta. Espero regresar a algún día . Vistas a la playa perfectas. Sin duda el mejor hotel en el que he estado por tierras andaluzas.
Y lo que más me ha encantado son los detalles de las películas de los años 50 y 60

El hotel tiene muy buena ubicacióncon acceso a la playa desde la piscina es tranquilo y queda cerca del centro andando se aparca fenomenal en el barrio y el trato de los empleados es increíble te ayudan y aconsejan de todo muy bien la verdad. Lo único que el colchón era finito y las almohadas más pero llegábamos tan cansadas que era pasable. Para ser de 2estrellas está muy bien repetiremos
