Beautiful place and adventurous road to get there. I discovered I had some vertigo when trying to go down the very exposed steps (with strong wind), so semi-crawled down feet first just to be a bit safer.

Going around the rocks to the cave entrance, you have to get lucky that the tide isn't too high, and time it so the waves don't get your feet wet (or wear good water shoes).
Inside it's quiet and beautiful - if there are few people. I wouldn't like coming here during high season.
Definitely bring flipflops or water shoes for when you're inside to be able to walk in the water - the views outside are lovely too, and your feet will thank you.

Amazing scenic location, very tranquil. Quite a technical hike to reach the cove. Wear good shoes and be comfortable on your feet. Last section into the cove is probably the most challenging. Well worth exploring inside.

Entrance is regulated during busier periods. Free but limited parking available at the end of Les Rotes but the trail starts at the end of Lactea. Go up the hill and trail starts by the wooden hut.

Absolute MUST visit if you are in or around Denia! Can not understand how anyone could give this spot less than 5 stars! I beautiful walk from the parking spot of 30 to 60 minutes, depending how easy you take it. There are 4 Geocaches on the way you can pick up, one of them directly in the Cave. Take half a day if you really want to enjoy the environment and the scenery! The walk is quite steep at times and a bit challening but you don't need to be super fit. Good shoes are essential!! We went on 1st of January and even of season there where quite a number of people on their way, but not too crowded. During the season we heard it gets crowded. Take some water and a snack along the way, there are beautiful places to rest and enjoy nature.

Breathtaking place. Access requires good shoes since the terrain is steep and sometimes there are loose or slippery rocks. You can swim once in the cave.

Lovely hike with great views from Les Rotes to Cova Tollada. Not hard but can be tricky due to the terrain. The entrance to the cave can be difficult depending on whether the sea is calm or not. One slip and you could be in the water so wear shoes with a good grip.

Wonderful place! It was a bit difficult to find the entrance to the cove but once we did we enjoyed it a lot including our dog. We chose the alternative hike to get into the cove which starts from the top of the mountain (from Xabia side, we just parked our car on a random spot near private houses). it was a bit challenging but not super hard! If you are a fan of hikes that are not just easy and boring then it is the best choice! We did it in October, so not too many people, no reservation was needed in advanced.

Quite slippery in December, but the overall hiking path is OK

An amazing experience! It's about a 30 minute hike from the (slightly diffuse) parking spots nearby, and the terrain is rocky and best suited with shoes. We both did the hike in flip-flops - and live to tell the tale, but if I were to walk it again I'd definitely bring some running shoes. You'll also have to do a traverse with the ocean splashing at your feet - so it's not for the light hearted. You'll have a hard time finding a more insta-friendly spot! Walk into the coves and experience complete silence and complete darkness. Bring a flashlight better than your phone, and enjoy the caves!

Great trail for an autumn, spring day. Breath-taking views of the Mediterranean and an impressive set of maritime caves. Easy going first part, and slightly difficult cave entrance. Pics don't do justice though.

Awesome cave with an interesting and a little challenging trekking path. Stunning views all along the trek and a huge cave with opportunity to take a bath in the ocean.
The way back took us approx. 20-30 min without stops walking fast. It is recommended to wear a pair of closed shoes with profile (sneakers are fine too). It was perfectly fine to go to the caves 2 bours after high tide.

Cool hike, it can seem perilous for some with fear of heights but I really liked it. Some places you have stairs where you do not have any rail so not recommended for everyone. My kids 11-12 did this without any difficulty though.

You should start the hike from the restaurant at the beach where you can park your car.

Easy to access and great view. Nice for good pictures and to go for a swim. Take comfortable shows and be careful with the slippery rocks.

Super beautiful hike by the sea near some cliffs to the caves. You can spend a day in the place swimming and having fun. Though you need to be careful if you go on foot. For those who are afraid of heights or difficult rocky path it is not recommended, go by kayak instead

A natural beauty in the coastline. You'll have to work for it if you approach by foot. Guides have labelled the approach "easy-moderate" which is a gross understatement.

If it's high tide you'll have to take the steep approach in which is not for those with a fear of heights. Once on the cave you'll realise it was well worth the walk. The sheer scale is impressive and a cool place to hang out!

Great caves a must visit. Take a torch if you want to explore further into the caves also swimming trunks and towel.
Its quite a narrow stoney path with steps and chain to hold onto. There are two ways into the caves, if the tide is low you can go down and around the rocks and in but if the tide is high you can only get down at the front by climbing down over the front rocks. It takes about a hour to get there from the road sign by the restaurant.

A stunning coastal hike that winds through steep rock passes and wildflowers, leading you to the incredible caves that make an ultimate place to cool off after a hike.
