Beautiful place to enjoy a delicious lunch, beautiful views in the middle of nature. Delicious matching wines and many surprising tasty dishes served with care in a 'living room' ambiance. Be surprised and enjoy it together! But it is quite pricey by Spanish standards.

By far the best restaurant/rbnb we have been in years.

The location is breathtaking, the host and women who work there are amazing.

The menu experience is great. The way they organised everything regarding time, menu , interior and exterior are great.

The quality and level of the dishes are excellent and should deserve a Michelin star at the least.

New owners have taken over, so we were a bit apprehensive booking again. However they hope to continue with the previous ethos. The food, atmosphere and service have remained excellent from Lara (?) and all the staff. The most fantastic setting and place to eat. Rob and Heine would be proud.

The view is breathtaking. The owners are really sweet and kind, we felt as welcome as old friends. The place is gorgeous and remote, and the food was simply an experience. It was not overly complicated, but pure, fresh and cooked with a generous dollop of love. The smoking on the table, with herbs from the garden, was both beautiful and flavorful. Would definitely recommend!

It was an amazing experience for us. Everything from the beautiful garden to the nice hosts was just perfect. We have been all over the world and this qualifies as one of the most beautiful places we ever had the fortune to dine at. Anyone who appreciates good food amazing views and the secluded and isolated experience should definitely visit!

A magical place run by an amazing couple who are accomplished in many ways. An excellent dining experience in a great location, built by themselves, stone by stone. A romantic, intimate dining experience. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and they provided some lovely touches to make our day special. Highly recommended.

The two finest meals I have had, one pre Covid and the other last week were at Can Sueno. . The service, attention to detail on every dish was superb. The wine selections perfect for each course, as with the exquisite food you can see and taste the dedication and thought put into every course. 5 stars are just not enough, this is a Michelin stars experience I shall never forget. Many 5hanks to you both and your team.

This is not just a restaurant, it is a dining experience. You feel like your favorite friends invited you to their house to visit and have supper.At Con Sueno you are treated like a warm friend. Every part of it is amazing! First the drive up the mountain, then the charming home, the first cocktail is delicious and beautiful. I love how everyone is welcomed up to eat,and the menu is reviewed and explained. The meals are carefully thought out and seasonally inspired.the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Every single course and beverage is a beautiful work of art and taste delicious. There is a rest between the beginning courses and the main.
Resting in a chaise looking at the scenery is just wonderful . This was a truely relaxing,delicous,and most enjoyable experience, If you are in a hurry for a meal,do not come here but if you would like to step out of a hurried,hectic pace, come to Con Sueno and dream.

Myself and my family went to the restaurant a couple of days ago and experienced the friendly, intimate staff and owners that served the wonderful food. The set menu was well constructed and compiled and tased great. The whole experience was unparallel to any other I've had while dining. And would highly recommend.

We visited this place on late September 2018, on a beautiful autumn sunny day. We had heard about this place from our friends that were here before, few years ago. So, we had some expectation, but the big surprise was to yet come…

We had let the noisy cities behind us, we had lost the phone signal and we reached the top of the mountain, right in the middle of wild nature, very close to Heaven. A peaceful atmosphere welcomed us when we got down from our cars, than the beauty of the landscape and finally the warm smile of our hosts.

After the welcome greeting, some sensational cocktails occurred. I am not such a big fan of those drinks, but I couldn’t help but taste a little bit from each one. And I couldn’t have been stopped drinking but I had to drive back to our accommodation. So, a piece of advice: try to find a way to reach Can Sueño without driving…

Having the taste of cocktails still strong on my tongue I started to explore the place and took some photos for my trip album. The preparations for setting up the table were on progress. Everything was set to it’s place with an annoying precision. I shot hundreds of frames and every time I had a strange feeling that there were more, new, exciting thing to have into my camera.

And at 2PM sharp, all the guest were invited to hear the true story of their dream, told by the hostess. I don’t want to reveal it here, because I would definitely ruin the all magic. All I can say is that everything there has a connection: the way that they discovered the place, the sources of inspiration for their recipes and last but not least the joy of sharing their dream.

The dishes ware quite sensational. The plating was outstanding and the taste was divine. And, as I said before, every dish had its own story and it’s source of inspiration… The goat cheese, marzipan and lavender jelly with figs and grapes ware completed by a smoke of aromatic herbs. It was the steam that is rising from the hot tiles and rocks during an autumn shower after a very dry season, there in the middle of the dreamland!

Suddenly I had a revelation: I wasn’t in a normal restaurant having a regular food; I was in the middle of a dream (their dream), I became part of it and I was feeling special.

In conclusion, I would like to clarify one more thing: this is not a proper restaurant, it is a place where you want to be, to live and to became, for a few hours a part of it. The food is not regular, it is something very close to art and our hosts are not simple cooks, they are much more, they are artists, living and sharing their dream came true.

This place is amazing! Do not miss this experience. The price is amazing for what is equivalent to a 3 star Michelin meal (and I have been to El Bulli, The French Laundry, Alinea, and Next, among other 1 and 2 star establishments). The meal I had here was better than The French Laundry and of course it costs much less! This restaurant is run by a husband and wife. The wife decides the menu and the husband pairs the wine. He is as good as any sommelier I've encountered. The restaurant is set high in the mountains where you get amazing views as you drive there and as you dine. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

This is a different experience than you have ever experienced before. It's like having lunch at Rob and Hennies livingroom at Michelin star level. What a great concept: eating beautiful food and mingling with likeminded people whilst enjoying a breathtaking view of the mountains just 40 minutes from Altea.
