Beautiful walk especially in the old aqueduct tunnels. The bridge is scary if you fear heights.

Great experience. Perfect for families as it is super exciting going through the tunels and the aqueduct.

Supercool, but a little bit scary if you have problems with heights. The path is probably 1.5 m wide and, in the theory, safe as long as you stay in the middle. Most people will be able to cross but as there is no railing some might find the deep drop too much to cope with.

Definitely a good place to take the kids/teenagers! It’s free and they are well entertained!!!
This is worthwhile! Climb some small rocks, cross the main aqueduct, don’t look down 😱 if you’re afraid of heights! It is an adventure! It is definitely not boring. We went on an overcast Thursday. We arrived at 15h. It wasn’t busy but some were leaving and some like us, arriving. We didn’t hike the entire route but we went for about 1.5hrs. I couldn’t imagine doing this in August! 🤯. It did not feel dangerous, you just have to tell your kids to stay on the trail. Agree with other posts, to watch Roman Aqueduct history before going would make the experience more interesting.
A reviewer mentioned there are two entrances. I think one from Calles and the other Chelva. We went to the closest connection which is Chelva and it’s only a 10 min walk to get to the exciting parts of the trail from the parking lot. You can see it first or save the best for the last. Whatever you do, you have to return to your car.
Definitely need closed toed shoes. We had a wind breaker on. Bring food and snacks. No baños. All nature.
As for getting there, it is a beautiful ride. Easy from Valencia. Just follow google map. When you turn off from the main road you’ll start on the gravel road that’s as wide as a car but eventually it gets a little wider. Look ahead for on coming traffic.
Definitely going back there!

A magnificent landmark that has survived almost 20 centuries. The hikes around this place are beautiful. Just be careful during summers, as it can get too hot.

Nice 4 hour round trek from Calles to Chelva and back (or the other way round ;)), some up and down and super interesting history with the viaduct and tunnels. Worth a visit.

Amazing views. Great idea to spend time with you family and friends.

Incredible! Roman water courses snake around the valley and end up at this very impressive aqueduct. The countryside, rock formations and landscape are all stunning. Only word of caution is that there are no barriers on the aqueduct and a very long drop, so keep dogs and children under close control.

You will have to have nerves of steel to get to this remarkable place. If you are scared of heights, forget it. But we'll worth it. 'What did the Romans ever do for us' well this for a start. Is it unique?

Beautiful hike with rewarding historical ruins. Not very difficult hike if you choose the common trail but we hike harder trails
