Agroturismo Ordaola

A very tranquil, beautiful hotel in the mountains yet close to Bilbao. The road up to the hotel was a bit scary for me the first evening in the dark , but my partner loved the challenge and the destination is most definitely worth it! During the day the road is fine, and you do also get used to it. The view from our room was just amazing with the mist rising up from the valley in the morning. The people running the hotel are very lovely and helpful. We stayed there for seven nights whilst exploring the surrounding area and loved it. The food was also very good.

You have to visit here! 5km uphill via a single track, unfenced, unlit road, but rarely any thing to meet. The quirkiest of hotels with an absolutely charming owner who never stops working. The rooms are "rustic" but charming with amazing views into the mountains. Excellent and amazing value food offerings, breakfast lunch and dinner, good wine and beer plus juices etc. Worth a little bit of effort for somewhere you will never forget!! We loved it.

Best accommodation for this price in the whole Basque Country. Quiet place, little rooms and amazing views. The owner and staff it's quite great and polite. They came to pick me up without needing to do it . The food is great, every plate was worth it

Agroturismo Ordaola is a total gem! 15 minutes from Bilbao ferry terminal and the City itself, this pet friendly hotel/restaurant is not to be missed. Located in a stunning setting, it provides all the amenities that ferry travelers, hikers and nature lovers are looking for. The food is also out of this world. Do not miss the opportunity to dine there! The owner is lovely, very helpful and will make you feel at home. It was a superbe find at one of the most reasonable price available, especially if you book directly. We will not miss an opportunity to go back.

Beautiful location even in heavy mist. Accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Hosts only speak Spanish but were so helpful and kind. They loved their dogs as did my grandchildren. Food was very good and freshly made and prices were excellent value. Very off the beaten track with an unbelievable single lane track winding up the mountain for quite a while. Loved every minute

Magnificent! Warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious freshly cooked meals with a good choice on the menu. Comfortable rooms with scenic views of the hills and valleys. The added bonus was the dog and goose. Very entertaining animals, friendly pets. A most enjoyable stay. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. 😊

Great location in the mountains but only minutes from bilbao. Very good dinner.. Hake , grilled prawns , calamari. Nice bar too. We had a big family room great fun. very clean. We had no spanish and our hosts no english and we managed fine. It is a bit tricky to find. Go to Alonsotegi and then look for signs for Ordaola which is about 3km up a winding road

Awesome spot. Just outside of the city but completely secluded. Quiet and surrounded by bush. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Completely recommend

Prachtige plek! Van hieruit is Bilbao makkelijk.per trein te bereiken en met de auto ben je in 20 minuten aan prachtige stranden en baaitjes. Om te wandelen hoef je maar de deur uit te stappen. Carlos is een fantastische gastheer en kok. Vriendelijk, behulpzaam en met humor. Wij waren er voor 5 dagen met veel plezier

Tutto molto bello. Sembra di essere in un alpeggio. Le camere sono pulite e rifatte ogni giorno. Molto silenzioso. Il titolare parla molto bene francese e un po' inglese e dà tutte le informazioni di cui si può aver bisogno. Meglio pianificare tutta la giornata fuori e tornare per cena che è ottima ed abbondante. La strada per salire è impegnativa con un lungo tratto finale in cemento e piuttosto tortuosa ma ci si abitua presto.

Vinimos a comer y nos fuimos más que satisfechos.
Lugar espectacular, ideal para venir con los perros a pasar los días que puedas.

Personal increíble....como en casa...el dueño una excelente persona...el lugar increíble... Comida para todos los gustos ...aconsejo dejarse llevar por Carlos. Repetiremos seguro...buena suerte a todos y espero les vaya tan bien como a nosotros que venimos desde las Canarias acostumbrados al turismo.
Espero tengan la misma experiencia positiva como Nosotros.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Carlos, le propriétaire dans son hôtel situé en pleine nature, au calme et au bord d'une rivière.
Nous n'avons pas eu assez de temps malheureusement pour visiter les alentours et profiter du lieu mais si vous cherchez un endroit ressourçant, allez y les yeux fermés et laissez vous guider !

El caserio está en un enclave único, con buenas vistas he tenido la oportunidad de estar en habitaciones diferentes y las camas son muy cómodas, el acceso está bien para estar en una montaña, lugar perfecto para desconectar y conectar con la naturaleza. Servicio de restaurante cercano, buena relación calidad-precio. Carlos se esfuerza por adaptarse a tus gustos siempre busca una alternativa para que cenes a gusto. Todo es muy cercano y te sientes como en casa. El personal del hotel está pendiente de todo lo que necesitas y siempre con una sonrisa. Son detalles que se agradecen cuando estás fuera de casa. Sin duda una excelente opción para pasar unos días o un fin de semana, cerca de Bilbao y con fácil acceso para moverse a otros sitio para conocer.

Hemos pasado 2 noches en Ordaola y no podemos más que tener palabras de agradecimiento. Es una casa en un lugar alejado precioso, con unas vistas impagables; pero a su vez la conexión a Bilbao es buena. Carlos y sus compañeras incluso nos acercaron a nuestro destino en alguna ocasión de una manera muy amable. Recomendable al 100%
