Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao

The views of the Guggenheim from the rooftop terrace are STUNNING! And the food is very good - we have both dinner and then breakfast buffet the next day and we would return in a heartbeat. We had our two kids under age 4 with us and they were very kind with us. The elevator ride was quite exhilarating for us adults and our children must have ridden it about three dozen times. The entire hotel feels like an art museum - they really captured the feeling of spending the night INSIDE of the Guggenheim.

Fantastic hotel and really great service - all the people have a great warm attitude and are really professional. The art in the hotel is stunning too.

Some examples of the service; They phoned us when we left things in the room and held them securely. When someone bumped into our car, the porter really helped and offered to sort it out if there were insurance issues. And various other things.

Rooms with views of the Guggenheim are spectacular. The location is excellent; it is easy to walk anywhere in the city, and just next to the Guggenheim. I love the gym and the terrace with the views are extraordinary.
I made a mistake with my reservation and the reservations team went above and beyond to help me move my dates without changing me more for it. I would recommend anyone to stay at the hotel.

Very well appointed rooms, super clean, comfortable beds, quiet and peaceful.

When we checked in, there was a mixup with some of the details the hotel received from the booking site. Javier at the hotel front desk took care of it in a professional manner and to our satisfaction. He was a pleasure to talk to and made what could have been an unpleasant experience a very pleasant one.

Amazing location! Great service especially from Diego, who helped us throughout our visit. Diego went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, especially with regard to transportation. Rooms with view of Guggenheim and mountains! An improvement should be that the front desk should have bottled water to offer guests any time.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my husbands 40th birthday here. The food was exquisite, the service was very good - English and Spanish well spoken. We ordered the set menu with the long wine pairing and highly recommend!

An amazing hotel right in the middle of the city. 15-mins away from the airport and minutes away from some of the best food you will ever have. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. Don’t forget to check out the restaurant and the hotel bar - they served the best cocktails I’ve had in a while.

We stayed here for one night and the experience was 5 star. The hotel itself is very classy and stylish and the staff were wonderful. Incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us - they even gave us some free passes to the Guggenheim which is directly opposite!

Spectacular art in common areas. Certainly like a museum... I actually liked some of the art here more than the ultra modern art in the Guggenheim. Although the breakfast is expensive, it is worth it for the quality of the menu items and the view from the roof.

Great location for all things Guggenheim. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic shower and soaps and cream. Spray mist for the pillows. Super fast elevators. Huge room.

I stayed at the Gran Hotel Domine for 3 nights with my partner for a business trip and this is the best hotel experience we have had for years! The staff were super friendly, smiling, and helpful. We also visited the bar and the restaurant, and found that both the service, the food, and the drinks were excellent. The room was spacious, and the bed extremely comfortable.

We will certainly stay at the Gran Hotel Domine, when we return to Bilbao.

Two day stay while touring the Guggenheim was enhanced by the Gran Hotel experience. Well-appointed rooms, extremely helpful staff, and comfortable beds with firm pillows. The 7th floor restaurant was wonderful for breakfast and a rooftop view of a charming city. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the tiny slippers that would not fit my size 13 feet. No matter, I brought my own.

We stayed in this hotel for five nights 20-25th September).It is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location for the Guggenheim and nearby trams for travel . The staff were so kind and caring. They did everything they could to make our stay so memorable and wonderful. Everyone worked so hard and was so helpful caring and kind.
The rooms were immaculate, so clean and the breakfast was delicious We also ate in the hotel restaurant which was so good. The best ever. Next time we will chose a better room as the room was quite dark with only a small side window which was not very nice.
We were so sad to leave but will return soon. Bilbao is a beautiful city and the hotel is one we will never ever forget. Thank you for such a beautiful memory .

Really good hotel with amazing location.

We stayed there for a night, during a small trip to Bilbao and our experience was great.
Everything you want to expect from a good hotel. The spa is small but fu functional and the gym is surprisingly well equipped.

Rooms are large and functional.
Overall, the architecture of common spaces is super nice, with inspiration from the Guggenheim.

The breakfast with museum view is a real plus !

Lovely hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff, lovely rooms, great location.

Great location for Guggenheim and tram to get to old town. Small spa is excellent, especially as the hotel staff were clear that a swimsuit was not necessary, so we could the sauna and steam room nude. Food was good, but breakfast very expensive, so we popped to bakery round the corner.

We really enjoyed staying here for a night in Bilbao. The service was fantastic. In particular, Berta at the reception desk went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible - especially as we arrived stressed after our flight was diverted!
