Hotel Catalonia Atocha

This is a great hotel. Good price, wonderful staff and excellent rooms. All the amenities are first rate. The location right at the Alton Martin Metro station. In addition. We arrived at noon and check in was not until 3 but the rooms were available and they let us check in anyway. A great kindness to those who just arrived from an all night flight!

My experience here has been excellent. In fact, I have already recommended the hotel. Pedro, at the front desk, made my trip move smoothly and the morning started well with his warm greeting. Miriam was so helpful and enjoyable in the snack bar. Her kindness and wonderful cocktails made the end of the day delightful.
The quality and comfort of the rooms is excellent and the views of Spain are stunning.
I would stay here again and again!

The place was excellent in every way and a great value in its price class. The staff was superb starting with a much needed early check in after an overnight flight and our waitress Miriam at the restaurant went way out of her way to make sure my wife and I were having the best they could offer. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable top quality stay!

We had an amazing stay and experience at the hotel. The rooms are very clean and sound proof. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent and the service was top notch. Miriam was our server at the hotel restaurant and was absolutely fantastic! I would recommend the hotel and restaurant to everyone!

Stayed during a study abroad trip while in Madrid. Had an amazing experience dining during the Spain football game. Our server Miriam was very accommodatable to our group and was very friendly. On top of that the food was amazing thanks to Jorge in the kitchen.

Wonderful single night experience- five rooms. We are a group making a documentary film and the accommodations were perfect for us. Staff was professional and friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good. Bed was super comfortable. Will consider return stay when in Madrid. Oh yes- great location for walking…just about anywhere. Muchas gracias!

Our first room was a more modern one and excellent. On our return we were given an older room; still very good, but needs updating. Great shower. Location is terrific for station and Prado.

This is the best option for you if you want to walk around and also, have the Atocha Station a fee steps down for local train trips. Pedro from the reception, was a star! Great service, structure and location. Definitively coming back!

Big airy rooms, fantastic showers, comfy beds, everything feels so clean and fresh. We got a free upgrade to a streetside room, and I was a bit worried about street noise, but that proved unnecessary as the windows are double and quadruple glazed! Extremely quiet, slept like a baby. Will absolutely be coming back.

We had the most amazing experience. Miriam anticipated our every need and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. 5 Stars for Miriam!!!

Fantastic place for my stay! Great, building with well appointed, clean rooms in a wonderful part of town. The staff were so amazing! So helpful in every way. Very good food and service. So glad to have stayed here! So much to do right out of the door.

We love staying this hotel not only for its great clean facility but also its kind and helpful staff at the front desk like Cristina and Agustina. We had many requests due to my husband’s unfortunate food poisoning from outside restaurant seafood, and the staff was really patient and kind with us for all our emergent requests! We truly appreciate everyone’s efforts helping us! Love you guys!!

Miriam, Yarelis and Gonzalo were the servers at the main bar and they were AMAZING!! The food and Service was Outstanding!!!! They maid our stay here at the hotel a pleasant one. :) Thank You

Excellent, super quiet room, i slept like a baby. Staff professional, kind and helpful in all matters. Rooms small but well designed and thoughtful, impecable cleanliness,great location. Isabel and her partner checked me out.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, well located for easy walking to museums large and small, parks the train station and quiet residential streets.

The bedding was plush and comfortable. The bathroom lighting, water pressure and hot water availability was all good.

We opted for a Junior Suite, and it was lovely, with high ceilings, parquet floors, beautiful moldings and charming balconies. Though our room was on the street side, it was very quiet because of the double windows.

The buffet breakfast was exceptional ! In addition to the usual selection of breads, cold meat, cheeses and cereals, there was fresh fruit, yogurts and HOT bacon, eggs, sausages and tortillas. My husband tells me the coffee was good. I’m a tea drinker, and I like it strong - they offered qood quality tea and a bouloir to get the water boiling hot.

Ours was a memorable stay at a good value, we highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel service is really nice and helpful. I had to change my booking due to some personal problems, and the management was kind enough to understand my situation and made the change without any fees. Really thankful for their support in such a time
