We had lunch during the week. Our group was of 8 people.

We shared salads and appetizers. The avocado with langoustines was exceptional. For a main course we had John Dori for 2 - baked with potatoes. For desert - lava cake.

the food and the service was exceptional. i loved our experience. Fresh seasonal ingredients, fresh fish and a beautiful view to the sea.

Cozy restaurant with a breathtaking view over the bay. Menu has a good variety and they usually have fresh fish that you can choose yourself.
Service was good but there is room for improvement.
Overall, highly recommended!

Lovely location with excellent seafood and very knowledgeable and attentive staff. Not inexpensive, but good value for the quality received. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants and location in the Costa Brava. Great quality food and service, set by the water at St. Pol's beach. Next to beautiful Cami de Ronda and La Gavina Hotel. Parking, public blue zone usually available. Worth a trip for dinner and a walk by the coast.

I almost canceled my reservations after reading some of the reviews. I'm happy I didn't because our experience was exceptional. There were five adults and we all ordered different appetizers and entree's. WOW! La camarera was excellent. She helped us decided exactly what we wanted. The wine list was well represented. We shared a fish dish and paella. All off the charts . Make sure you (try) to leave room for the cheesecake; it's not what you would expect.

Great food, great service. Best patatas bravas I've ever had . End of season and was there with work colleagues. Even though most of them were a rowdy bunch but the staff took it in their stride. Would recommend to anyone and the location is fabulous.

Very good quality food and excellent service from the staff. The views are beautiful from where we sat. 100% recommend if you haven't tried. the best cheesecake I've ever tasted!!

Lunch in November, sun and a wonderful beach.

The restaurant "La Taverna del Mar", beautifully designed, offers mainly fish specialties but also other regional delicacies at moderate prices. The staff and the entire service are absolutely professional, attentive and really friendly.

It is best to order several small dishes, they will give excellent advice.

The food was excellent, without exception, as was the white wine.

I can give 5 stars plus here without any restriction.

Excellent food, nice people and best view.

This is THE best restaurant around!!! Fish so fresh it was winking at me. Get the John Dory!!! it was flakey and delicious. The staff spoke english very well and the food was all excellent. Beautiful spot right on the beach. They even had a water taxi guy there to shuttle you back to your boat. Its expensive, but you get what you pay for here. High class, high quality.

I was in S'agaro in early September and after visiting four different restaurants the previous nights and having disappointing meals me and my partner managed to get a table here. It was the most incredible seafood with unbelievable staff service who were incredibly friendly and professional. We had a male waiter who could speak English well and we had some great conversations with this gentleman as he made time to talk to us even though he had other tables. The food & service was impeccable and the sea-view in the restaurant was beautiful with the sea coming right up to the restaurant. We had such a great meal we came back again during our short 4 day trip and experienced culinary excellence and impeccable service. Worth every penny and would definitely go back if ever in the are. A huge thank you to the male waiter who recommended the limited lobster dish and for chatting to us about the local life making us feel welcome and special.

Also the oysters are fantastic!

Great view, nice food. You can enjoy here both day and night.

Friends hosted an event at this restaurant and it was fantastic. The wait staff was extremely attentive to the point where one heard I had an allergy and remembered throughout the night so they could steer me clear of the allergens.

Food was spectacular, great paella, great chicken, great desserts.

The bathrooms are so clean, parking in-front of the restaurant and also multiple seating areas,2 terraces (two levels) and big sala for indoor meal.

My advise to book a table in advance

April 2019. We attended a catered wedding event, so we didn't get the plate meals and table service. However the staff (especially the bar staff) was perfect. We had no issues. The venue is large with an outdoor area and views and sounds of the sea. This place is a short walk from the Hostal de Gavina, so it's perfect for those guests. Would certainly go again.
