Parador de Benicarló

We were visiting family so not a holiday but this hotel was recommended by family.And it did not disappoint , it has its own grounds with two private pools.But also direct access to beaches.The room was lovely( superior double) with its own verands plus hotel Service was perfect , daily cleaning. Restaurant and very spacious areas with a fantastic breakfast.

Majestic place with beach access, multiple break fast options. Large pool and rooms have good sized balcony. The dining area is huge !

Not really a historic building but a lovely place none the less. The Parador is set on the beach and not far from the centre of town. This is an ideal place for anyone looking for a beach holiday...especially families. As always the rooms, food and service is perfect.

Very attentive service during our late lunch visit today. They really looked after us, beautiful food (crispy pig ears in lovely alioli sauce) and veggie paella. Delicious!!!

Certainly different from the other Paradors we stayed in. Good service and prompt fixing of broken room safe. We enjoyed walking around the immaculate grounds and the pool area was relatively quiet managing to find empty sun beds in the middle of the afternoon. Didn't eat in the restaurant but grabbed a sandwich and beer in the bar which was pretty good but could have been found cheaper elsewhere.

Friendly staff , extremely kind and helpful in suggesting interesting ideas and vieuws , real people , stunning vieuws , sound of the sea, tranquility , beauty , nature and strangely cosmopolitan for real people who love people nature and environment . The people here are for real the best and kind hearted , kind help but love catelone , the heart ❤ of this nation 🌟🌈🙏

I stayed at the Parador in Benicarló with work between November – Decemeber 2011 for ten days at a time. It’s a great hotel with good sized rooms and en-suit bathrooms. Being Spain they feel the cold a little more than people from the UK and like to have the heating on high even when it’s a chilly 18c° outside but that’s no bad thing.

Staying out of the summer season it was quiet although the bar / lounge and restaurant are both a good size with lots of seating. The bar prices are double the local taverns off season prices but you get complimentary olives and peanuts, the draught Cruzcampo is excellent.

Breakfast is excellent, the choice is huge. Fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice (daily fresh!) cooked meats, omelettes, other eggs, cereals, cakes, plus gluten free options. The coffee is very strong and excellent.

There is a gym and a pool although the pool was closed during the winter. The Parador is right on the beach and only a 5 minute drive to Peniscola which is a very popular summer resort.

The staff are very good and did well helping us out. Few speak excellent English although most can assist with hotel functions but we are in Spain so expect to use some language skills if you are leaving in the early morning it helps to have a few phrases to assist the night porter ordering you a taxi.

I just wish I could have stayed in the summer and would be tempted to go back with the family as Vinaròs is arguably nicer and less touristy (if you like that) than Peniscola

You could see a wonderful garden, good crew, have a good meal. When you wake up in your bed, you can see fantastic sunrising if you are diligent. It was a fabulous memory.

I stopped in this hotel many years ago on my way to Portugal, I can only say everything was superb.

Great Parador in excellent beach front location. The service and staff were really great - super food in the restaurant.

This Parador has a nice beach location but the town has iittle to recommend it apart ftom the sea front restsurants. Jump in the car and visit the Valencia geological park. Spectacular rock formations here.

This hotel is a gem in an ugly and featureless town. If you stay I'd recommend not leaving the grounds. Absolutely gorgeous pool and patio areas

This place may not be in a renovated convent like other Paradores but it's still a fantastic hotel in a great location with namesake quality staff and amenities.
