Hostal Veracruz- Puerta del Sol-

Hostal Veracruz in beautiful Madrid is one of the coziest, most charming, comfortable hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at. I spent 2 nights there with my 2 elderly aunts, and we loved every minute of it. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a beautiful, historic building, in the heart of Puerta del Sol. One can feel the majesty when entering or exiting the large Main Doors of their building. The elevator is conveniently located near the main entrance, but I highly recommend taking the stairs either up or down at some point, since the interior architecture is pure, classic, Spanish beauty. I also loved the view from the windows of our room, which overlooked the vibrant, pedestrian filled streets below us. The staff at this Hotel were extraordinary...very kind, cool, funny, charming and accommodating, and they helped us with whatever we needed. The staff was a pleasure to meet and speak with...thank you so very much Hostal Veracruz Staff for everything (especially the extra toilet paper my aunts were requesting =). I look forward to staying at the beautiful Hostal Veracruz the next time I get the opportunity to visit Madrid again, and I hope to see the same staff the next time around <3

Excelent Hostel, with a fantastic customer service, located strategically in central Madrid, and with a clean an grate value for service. The check in process was quick and easy and online so I didnt loose a minute uppon arrival. Recomendable.

Only complaint is that it is literally right above the bars so it can be noisy all the way until 5am. Careful when booking if you are a light sleeper!
Otherwise it's a great place right next to the Sol Plaza, in the heart of old Town Madrid. Super new renovation of an old apartment building so everything is nice and clean.

Fantastic location, strategically in the middle of central neighborhood bustling with restaurants, bars, cafes with shopping streets nearby. Rooms are cleaned daily, renovated and cozy, might be compact but with personal bathroom and attentive staff we didn’t have issues. Also we knew that there will be noise as it’s expected in the middle of central Madrid, so it didn’t bother us much (widows are soundproof plus there are heavy wooden blind doors so it blocks most of the noise). It was lovely experience and we would definitely come again!

Great service and hospitality. Everything was clear. I got the single room, quite decent and cheapest hostel I could find in the city centre of Madrid.

You can open your window and hear the bustling sounds downstairs. It's so convenient, minutes from Puerto del Sol, a discotheques and heaps of bars and restaurants downstairs. If you walk further out, there's San Miguel markets where there's a range of things you can try there.

Very nice place comfortable and clean. And the staffs are very friendly and good. Also good location because it’s in the city of madrid.

What can I say...super friendly personnel, great room, comfortable bed, free wifi, an A/C that was rocking and a spacious bathroom, what else to ask for for the price you pay. The location of the hostel is close to everything worth visiting in Madrid as a tourist. Noise level...well, you will be living in the middle of Madrid near a square that attracts a lot of traffic and people so if noice is problem, get yourself an hotel away from the busiest intersection of Madrid. Thank you Veracruz for a stellar lay over.

Had stayed for 3 nights, recklessly left my chain behind and manage to get it back when contact the frontdesk. Was told found by the housekeeper. Honest housekeeper.
