Simply awesome food and service. Do go early as it fills up very fast. I went there 1245 (Thursday) and there was a small crowd waiting for it to open at 1300. Service was prompt and friendly (thank you to the young server who help translate English to Spanish). I had the teriyaki eel with Foie gras, it was an amazing match and pure unami (20 euro but worth every single cent). I also had the Olivier salad crayfish tail sandwich, simply sublime (much cheaper but so satisfying). Lastly, I also had the lava cake with coconut ice cream. A very insta moment when you break the lava, but frankly too sweet for me. Overall, a spectacular gastronomy experience. Must try.

This is the best meal I have had in Madrid! Super friendly staff. I can feel that they are proud of their restaurant and serve in the most genuine way. The potato tortilla is incredible. I can’t believe how delicious it is! We also tried soft shell crab, foie gras, sea bass ceviche, they are all excellent! I’m going back to try other dishes they offer!

Waited months to get a reservation and it was well worth it! The tortilla is a particular highlight, I recommend waiting in the line outside to sit at the bar for a tortilla and a drink. If you do sit down, the oxtail and truffle raviolis are delicious. The service is quite slow but the food makes up for it.

Imagine the regular Spanish Tapas bar reimagined and elevated. You can still see the tradition but in a format that is more interesting and "chic" than the other bars you will find. You can tell the local people love it because of the line that forms even before opening.

The place is small, crowded, and loud, so be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation. You can always opt to sit at the bar. Despite all that the food is heavenly good.

The staff is attentive and will try their best to communicate in English if you need to.

To start don't miss the Dulce the Leche Volcano desert and order it first thing WHEN you arrive so they can save you one! It will disappear fast and there's only a limited number.

The food is varied and mostly small plates. The dishes are thoughtfully crafted, everything has very pronounced flavors, and is aggressively seasoned (in a very good way), so not the place if you have the tastebuds of a toddler. The highlight is the Oxtail with potatoes, it's to die for! Also don't forget to try their version of the Spanish tortilla.

This is probably one of the few places where you can get the "tapas" experience, not requiring a sit-down arrangement, and still enjoy a fun bar that put as much effort on the food side of the equation.

First time at Juana La Loca and it's a must. I have to admit it's the best Tortilla de patatas I've ever had and the Tuna sandwich was amazing. Great recommendation. Do not forget to book in advance.

This restaurant is one of the best. Our waiter was incredibly helpful and friendly (and spoke beautiful English!), and the food was out of this world. We’ve travelled around quite a bit and this meal was exquisite. In particular, the anchovies special was amazing, as were the sardines with burrata. The artichokes are also a standout. Make a reservation!

This place was recommended to us by someone who is originaly from Spain. I truly the best food I had eaten in Spain. The chef takes tapas into a combination of wholesome home cooked dishes with high end gourmet flavors. Both the non vegetarian dishes and vegetarian dishes (for my wife) were equally delicious.
The atmosphere is so much fun. Everyone seems to be in a good mood, and the staff is so friendly and professional.
And best of all, we were the only tourist there. Everyone else was Spanish, Which is always a good sign.

Food is absolutely amazing. Make it a priority to get a seat.
Tortilla - honestly, not sure if you should lose time with it… yeah it’s probably the best you’ll get in whole of Madrid but still …
Olivier Salad - don’t expect a salad :) it’s more like 4th of July on a piece of bread
Sweetbread bruschetta is a must try.
Last but not least … Hatzu Tuna.

We did not really care about the wine pairing, so we asked for a bottle of mid-bodied red and it also turned out quite nice.

All in all, very enjoyable couple of hours spent with family will be cherished thanks to Juana la Loca’s wonderful food and hospitable staff.

This was the most delicious tortilla I had on my whole trip. The volcano dulce de leche cake is also to die for. I highly recommend making a reservation, but if you can't line up about 30 minutes before opening and you should be able to get a seat.

Absolutely delicious tapas and great service! The tortilla is one of the best in Madrid and we loved the boletus ravioli and artichokes. The wine recommendations were great too.

Met a local Madrid that introduced this spot to me. He mentioned that this place is famous for the best spanish egg omelette in Madrid but it seems all the food was 5 stars for me. The ambience was great and friendly service too.

The food is just amazing!! We came back after 3 years and the place is still really good. I guess more people found out because it was extremely busy and we had to reserve at least a month in advance.
A must try is the tortilla with caramelized onions! Also the truffled egg and crab bun are amazing.
Unfortunately we had to leave after 1,5 hours because the table was reserved after us. The wine list could be more extensive.

This place honestly was so good. Let me just start, that you MUST get the dulce de leche dessert. It was an unreal experience. The rest of the food was incredible also. The sardine toast, the oxtail, the tortilla, all of it. There was a line before it opened, so recommend going about 20-30 mins before opening if you don’t have a reservation. We got a spot at the bar but waited an hour for a table, where we started our tapas course.

We ordered pasta negra con morcilla, sea bass with black truffle, and tortillas de patatas con cebolla confita. Food was amazing.
It is a little bit difficult to get seated without reservation. And the price is little bit higher than other places.
Our server who speaks English, he was very nice.
Thank you!

The tortilla is the star of the show at Juana la Loca, and it is easy to see why. It is made with the freshest ingredients, and it is cooked to perfection. The tortilla is crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It is served with a side of roasted peppers and onions, and it is the perfect dish to share with friends. In addition to the tortilla, Juana la Loca also serves a wide variety of other traditional Spanish dishes. I The service at Juana la Loca is good however, in the evening is so crowded. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations. They also speak English, which is helpful if you are not fluent in Spanish. The atmosphere at Juana la Loca is cozy and inviting. The restaurant is located in a charming old building, and the interior is decorated with traditional Spanish elements. There is a small bar area, and there are also several tables both indoors and outdoors. Overall, Juana la Loca is a great restaurant that serves delicious traditional Spanish food. The tortilla is the star of the show, but there are also many other dishes that are worth trying. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I would definitely recommend Juana la Loca to anyone visiting Madrid.

One of the best tortillas in town located in the lovely La Latina. This is a must try if you love tortillas and the rest of the food is great as well. The soft shell crab bao is unexpectedly good! It can get super crowded, so best to have a reservation or just go, get on the waiting list and have a drink nearby, it's worth it

I would definitely suggest making a reservation just to make sure you experience this place, specially if you are visiting Madrid. If you can’t make reservations, be sure to arrive within 30 minutes of opening, even for lunch.

Amazing tapas, good service (depends on who you get), reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. This is a great place for more modern pintxos and tapas. The Soft Shell Crab is spectacular, but the best of them all is the Hatzu Tuna. The Hatzu Tuna is probably among the top 10, if not top 5 dishes I ever had in my life! The presentation, the quality of the ingredients, the balance of texture and flavour. Went there two times just to enjoy it again and order not one, but two Hatzu Tunas. Juana La Loca is a must if you a looking for pintxos!

The reason i gave them 3 stars for service is because the second time we went there, the waiter was horrible. He was super rude, seemed tired, messed up our order and when we ordered like 7 different dishes he was like “that is too much, don’t order. I will just bring you these 5 dishes”. Hey, you are not paying, so if we want 10 dishes go ahead and bring them.

Doesn’t matter how busy you are, this restaurant is A MUST. Other than having the best tortilla I’ve had in my life, everything is out of this world mouth watering. So, favorite veggie dish: artichokes. Fav seafood dish: tuna sandwich. Fav meet dish: rabo de toro. Fav dessert: the dulce de leche volcano is 😮‍💨. We were in 5 people and ordered so many different dishes and split between us. Super recommend doing this, as dishes have a good portion and then you are able to try so many different things. Shout out to Daniel, our server, who made the experience even better (if that was even possible). Favorite restaurant in Madrid? Most definitely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Consider waiting at least half an hour but they call when the table is ready which is a good way for you to have a beer somewhere nearby instead of waiting on a line.

Food is amazing, service as well. The restaurant is a bit too crowded and noisy. The rest is just perfect.
