Hotel Fénix Gran Meliá - The Leading Hotels of the World

Beautiful hotel. Key cards in the wall for electricity was a first for me. Upon arriving we never even touched our bags. With Amex we received $100 in credit to spend at the hotel, a welcome bottle of their strawberry liquor, and a fruit basket. The concierge took our bags to the room and showed us around the room to make sure it was to our liking. The bar makes great drinks and they have cigar service. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Me and my partner stayed here for a day in Madrid. The front desk people were very welcoming and helpful. They helped us book reservations for our restaurants. When checking in they went over everything and even told us we had an upgrade. When we came in to our room we had a welcoming gift! Along with check in we found out it included a 3 course meal to either lunch or dinner, which of course we had to make reservations for also. The dinner was fantastic. In the morning before check out we ate at the breakfast buffet which had a variety of things such as meats, cheese, fruit, juice and pastries. There was also a cook food station which included sausages, bacon and two different types of eggs! Overall I enjoyed my stay and would come here again!

Everything here is amazing to me. Very romantic , cozy and beautiful hotel, room…very friendly and helpful staffs. My room is always clean and smell amazing, even shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom are very good too. They take care of clients very much with every small details, they even give lip balm which I never seen before in other hotel. And breakfast is amazing with many good food and fresh… i would love to come back and stay longer

A classic high class Hotel kept from the 60's with amazing art and decorations everywhere. Excellent dining. Don't forget to use the staircase where the Beatles went up and down from the 1st., floor rooms when they came to Madrid in 1965.

One of the very best hotel in Madrid. Service was very good overall. Rooms are exceptional. I would definitely come back.

My only regret is that the restaurant didn't have a menu with staple Spanish specialties. It's a bit watered down.

Also I have been charged twice the room. I had to pay at check out what was already paid. I have sent a claim by email for which I didn't receive a reply. Now PA who did the reservation could get feedback where the hotel recognized the error and said it will refund. I will follow up on my email and wait for the refund.

There’s something to be said about simple things making a big impression. We are in Madrid, the hotel we’re staying in is really nice, they do the little things that you don’t really notice until they’re done for you. Example after we came back from dinner they had put chocolates on our pillow, and put slippers by the bed, like I said simple things. Tonight we dined in the hotel restaurant ( complementary with the stay) the meal was outstanding! So as this time in Madrid comes to an end, I have to give a nod to the Hotel Grand Melia Fenix this hotel is top notch I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Centrally located and within walking distance to great cafe's , restaurants , shops and museums , was the place of choice when travelling Madrid.

Overall, excellent hotel and staff especially Carmen who goes an extra length for us during our stay. She helped us with dine in reservations and had a birthday surprise in the room. She always had a smile on her face which was warm and welcoming. The spa was an excellent experience and highly recommend it if you have the time for a massage. The rooms were luxurious, comfortable, and clean. Also pass by their bar the drinks were great. Will come back here again.

The best of the best! Location, food, linens, cleanliness, service. We had a wonderful experience. We’ll love to come back!

This hotel is excellent. It is very well maintained, centrally located and the service is superb. Have been here many times and will continue visiting. Staff are very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our stay. Close to museums and restaurants. The hotel also has it's own restaurants with great food, drinks and service.
It is not a huuuuge hotel,which I personally love .It felt more intimate, and I loved and appreciated the decor. Had like a Great Gatsby vibe when you walk into the lobby. The service in hotel, as well as the restaurant, was great. The breakfast had a great selection of foods. They made it special throughout the day with the treats , and checking in if we needed extra towels etc. We had a beautiful view from our balcony of the city. The only negative thing I have to write, is that although as beautiful as the bathroom was, it felt kind of tight. The toilet was at an angle , which is hard to explain. You have to be short and skinny to fit in there. Also,it must be hard for housekeeping to get in there and clean it thoroughly. Another thing, is that the shower had half a glass to prevent water from coming out , but you still manage to wet the floor because you have nothing to close. Other than that our stay was absolutely wonderful!!!!!Loooooved it.

This hotel was in a great location. Staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional walking distance from just about everything.

I had an amazing stay at the Fénix, the rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable will designed, the best part was the Mediterranean cuisine an absolute delight for my tast buds

My partner and I stayed for one week at the Hotel Fenix Gran Melia this past December for New Year's and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Special kudos to Andres from Food and Beverage - he was very knowledgeable and splendid to interact with. Andres, you are the best! Simply put, we would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madrid and we cannot wait to return in the future!

What a lovely experience—-treat yourself to a luxurious stay with very helpful but not arrogant staff. Red level was worth every dime.

Fantastic hotel all around! The staff were phenomenal during our honeymoon stay. They dropped off chocolates and a chilled bottle of champagne on our first night.
On top of that, the hotel offered lots of great amenities- a freshly made bed with water & chocolates in the evening, a delicious spread at the breakfast buffet, and bilingual staff to assist us in anything we needed.

Service was superb! We always received a friendly greeting whenever arriving to the hotel or leaving. The hand to the heart was a very nice touch from the staff. We spent a week at this hotel in Madrid and would be glad to stay there again. We enjoyed the breakfasts, a nice dinner and drinks. We would love to return there again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid. Also a nice location for walking and a quieter side of the city. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Very nice hotel. Turn down service is nicely done. We booked through our credit card travel services and it included a nice full spread breakfast with a la carte menu. Also included a three course dinner for one night. A very nice fruit welcome gift with a bottle of liquor made us feel very welcome.

Hotel Fenix has gone above and beyond to say the least.

My fiancé and I are planning a wedding here in Spain and hotel Fenix was the perfect scouting location. It is a 15 min drive from Royal Palace (city center) of Madrid, 1.5 hour from Toledo (south) and 1.5 hour from Segovia (North).

Aside from the perfect location the service is IMMACULATE. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive; if you’re a AMEX Platinum/Black or Leading Hotels of The World member, the amenities are great.

The food has been good throughout our 4 night stay. The breakfast definitely keeps you full for a full days worth of traveling. I didn’t get a chance to eat at their other in-house restaurants, unfortunately.

The laundry service was immediate and thorough. All done working 24hrs; I had a wool coat serviced. Their laundry management/supervisor literally picked up my coat at 10pm to ensure it got done within 24hrs. Another plus for this location.

Jose Louis, Jose Christof, Alberto (bar man extraordinaire) we’re incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stays. Don’t be mistaken, their entire staff was warm, welcoming and supportive.

By far my favorite hotel in Madrid. The hotel is going through restorations/renovations but the service is still immaculate.

Incredible care on the details at this location. The staff is extremely friendly and caring; providing a personalized experience at every opportunity. Room size could be larger but quality of available amenities in the room and on property was terrific! The FHR dinner/lunch menu is must try!
