Loved our stay here. Beautiful and clean rooms. Felt very safe. Staff were lovely. It was nice to have the rooftop pool as it was very hot when we were there. Would definitely recommend

Great location about 15 walk from plaza mayor, room is spacious clean and nice style. Price was good but was part of a package deal so I guess price will vary. Haven’t explored the roof top pool yet but a nice option to have. I didn’t try the breakfast so can comment, but there is plenty of coffee/ pastry shops close by. I’d happily stay again

Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. Our room was really nice, modern, well equipped and clean. The staff have been really friendly and helpful and there's a very small pool on the roof that's great to cook off when the temperature gets too hot. If I come back to Madrid, I would stay here again.

Great micro hotel and very reasonably priced. The optional breakfast was first rate with optional items offered buffet style and plenty of fresh fruit to select from. When I had a problem with electronic access to my room they upgraded my room and provided me with free menu. Very helpful and polite staff!

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be an overall pleasant experience. Located right in the center, it offers easy access to all the major attractions and conveniences.

The room, though small, was clean and well-maintained. Despite its size, it was equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a selection of Nescafé, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the absence of an iron, which might be an inconvenience for some guests.

Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of options to choose from, ensuring a great start to the day. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the rooftop swimming pool. It’s a must-try, especially during the summer months, offering a refreshing escape with a great view.

Overall, this hotel provides good value for money and I would recommend it for both short and long stays.

I cannot believe this hotel is only 4 stars!

Solo travelled here to go to Mad Cool festival and then Metallica. I've had alright experiences at hotels whilst travelling but Porcel Ganivet has to be hands down the best so far.

My flights had been changed meaning I would be in Madrid earlier than anticipated with quite some time before check-in. Luckily the hotel had a WhatsApp so I contacted them asking if they had baggage drop off which they did. When I arrived the woman at the desk was brilliant and stored my luggage with no problems. Once I came back at check-in time there were no issues with reclaiming my luggage and check-in was friendly and brief.

My room was spacious and modern on the 1st floor, and enough space for one person! I didn't have a balcony room but I wasn't really at the hotel enough to notice or need the outdoor space. All features of the room worked including the tv and superior air con unit (which I did appreciate given the incredibly hot temperature whilst on holiday). The room also came with different toiletries and a note that said if you had forgotten or needed toothpaste etc to ask the front desk and they could provide it (which I thought was a nice touch).

I had seen that people had complained about a nightclub but the soundproofing of the hotel was immaculate. I only realised the nightclub was across the street three days into my holiday.

Housekeeping was brilliant. Always quick and efficient and left in a brilliant condition. They even folded my pj top which I thought was incredibly sweet!

The rooftop pool was a nice addition and a must on the last day. There is a pool boy/lifeguard who is very quick to help should you need it. The pool has a capacity of 10 people but there are enough loungers/chairs/tables for everyone.

I didn't eat here as I had other plans, but I would add it to my experience for my next stay.

The girl I met up with whilst travelling ended up checking out of her hostel (which was really lovely) a day early to have a night here after seeing my room and using the shower which I think speaks for itself!

As a solo traveller, I felt incredibly safe during my whole stay in the hotel and the surrounding area. Getting back from Mad Cool at 4:30 am and Metallica just after 2:00 am I felt happy to walk from my Uber and the other person I had met in Madrid (a 10-minute walk) to the hotel. Streets were still incredibly busy and I didn't feel in danger. Alongside this, there are plenty of corner shops and other amenities in this area.

Additionally getting to and from the airport was easy and there is a good pick-up zone for Ubers/taxis out the front.

I will definitely be staying here again, thank you so much for a brilliant experience!

Really loved this hotel! It was clean and quiet, and it had an absolutely phenomenal buffet breakfast. It was the best start to every day we spent in Madrid! The beds were also very comfortable. And the price was absolutely great. And did I mention the location? What a fantastic part of the city, and only a 10 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor! Would love to stay here again!!

Firstly sorry but how is this hotel only three stars??? It should be a four minimum personally it felt like a five star to myself. The staff are so kind and sweet, suggested local hot spots to us and good day trips. The rooms were outstanding and amazing value for money. The rooftop pool again amazing and the location is literally 10 minute walk from central Madrid. Hotels like this are hard to find and honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Thankyou for being the highlight of our trip to Madrid.

Lovely, clean hotel right in the city centre. Approximately 100 yards from tube station and a 10 minute walk to the main square which had lots of restaurants etc. Staff were really friendly and spoke good English to help us.
The jacuzzi on the roof was lovely and refreshing and was manned the whole time it was open and they provided towels to use up there. There was also a few chairs and sun loungers with a nice area to relax.
Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
There was work going on but you couldn't hear it and it didnt disturb us.

I was in Madrid for 4 nights. Pretty good location. Plaza Mayor, the Museum area all walkable. The room was very comfortable and clean. Serviced every day. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was very good.

Kind of an everything you need and nothing you don't place, which makes it an excellent value. They do have a rooftop pool that looked well maintained, but we didn't make use of that perk.

Recommended and would definitely stay again.

We celebrated my mum's birthday here. We are so happy to have chosen Hotel Porcel Ganivet. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Location is fabulous - 10 minute walk from Plaza Mayor. Buffet breakfast is perfect and delicious.
Pool area is also great. The pool is small but there are plenty of loungers and chairs.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern. Great hotel. We'd highly recommend.
