OAR cottage (Garai)

Perfect place to stay if you're looking for a getaway to do NOTHING. There's literally nothing to do or see here. Just enjoy the silence and lush greenery.

It'd be a sin not to mention this place's amazing interior design. Rustic with stones and wood yet modern in its hardware selection like the bathroom tap, bathtub, reading lamps.

We stayed in Room 1 and found it really cozy. Had the best night's sleep as well. Amazing quality pillows, sheets, blankets

I booked last minute and was incredibly impressed by this property. The location is beautiful and tranquil, and no detail has been overlooked in the rooms and service offered. The decor is equal to a five star hotel and the breakfast was perfect. The staff are helpful yet unobtrusive which made our stay perfect.

We chose OAR Cottage because of the great reviews, and we didn't regret it!
We stayed at the hotel for a whole week and the experience was simply excellent!
The hotel has only 7 rooms, all on the 2nd floor, where the first floor is the public area - reception, dining room, sitting areas and the garden.
The place is managed by the hotel owner Carmen together with Marilin, her right hand.
Both are charming and do their utmost to make the stay at the hotel pleasant and to help the guests.
The design in both the rooms and the public areas is simply charming and it is obvious that a lot of love and attention was put into every detail.
Our room was very spacious, cozy, clean and beautifully designed.
The bed is wide and comfortable.
Breakfast can be taken in the cozy dining room, as well as in the garden.
The only point that requires improvement is the wireless network.
There are quite often disconnections, and each time you have to go to the hotel website and confirm the connection. quite disturbing.
But of course this is a small point, when in all other areas the hotel is simply great and highly recommended!

One of the best places we have ever stayed anywhere in the world! Beautiful, stylish, tastefully decorated, comfortable, relaxing accommodation in stunning surroundings. Superb breakfast and well stocked honesty bar. Exceptionally helpful hostess with superb recommendations from local restaurants to where best to park when visiting the nearby Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. The triple room (with Bath) is romantic and welcoming - so sad we had to hand it over to the kids! This "casa rural" is a destination in itself - one day we'll go back for several days to enjoy it even more. You deserve multiple awards. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

A beautiful traditional Basque House with designer renovated interior architecture, windows looking down a green valley, horses walking freely in the nearby forest, sounds of nature filling in the rooms. Very clean, peaceful, and comfortable. Thanks for the warm welcome, we would like to come back in autumn or spring.

Very lovely place - small, cozy, well-kept, and well-designed - with kind and attentive staff. Beautiful setting near the small town of Garai. We had both dinner (snacks/room service) and breakfast along with our stay and both were excellent.

Did not want to leave. Carmen and her husband do a wonderful job of running this place. Every detail of the farmhouse has been beautifully executed. Serene and the service was exceptional

Absolutely a stunning property. Walk to your heart's content. Very relaxing time. A bigger breakfast coul be added but can't complain for the existing.

Increíble!! Es un lugar con mucho encanto, con una preciosa decoración y en un entorno único. La verdad que lo recomendamos, hemos desconectado muchísimo.
Los dueños son encantadores y el desayuno estaba buenísimo.

Si eres un amante de la paz y el sosiego en mitad de la naturaleza... Este es tu sitio.
Las habitaciones son muy agradables y con todo lo necesario, pero el lujo absoluto nos ha parecido la sala de abajo con un gran ventanal al bosque, una música maravillosa y una chimenea que hipnotiza....
El desayuno muy completo también.
Carmen y Manuel atentos siempre a todo, nos han hecho sentir como en casa.
Nos vamos con las pilas cargadas.

¡Que privilegio haber podido pasar un apartado tan importante de nuestras vidas en OAR Cottage! Continuamos la celebración de nuestra boda, de una forma más intima tras el restaurante, en este establecimiento. No podemos pedir más a la atención que Carmen y todo su equipo nos dieron en todos los sentidos. Nuestros invitados (y obviamente nosotros) quedamos encantados con la comida que nos preparó para la recena de la noche, el trato cercano y amabilísimo, la disponibilidad para hacer del OAR nuestro hogar durante la celebración. De verdad, estamos muy agradecidos y recomendaremos siempre a Carmen y todo su equipo por toda su capacidad de trato, lugar inigualable, discreción, limpieza, detalle y mimo en el diseño de un lugar y una experiencia tan increíble como es estar en OAR Cottage. Precioso hotelito rural, ideal para una escapada por el norte. Diseño, espacios, detalles y trato de 10. Un lugar con muchísimo encanto y alma al cual volveremos sin duda!

El trato que me dio Carmen y el personal fue exquisito. El entorno, el hotel, la habitación, el desayuno buenísimo (zumo de naranja natural, fruta, tostada... que rica la mantequilla y la mermelada de manzana. Muy silencioso. La cama muy confortable. Difícilmente se puede mejorar!!!

Un caserio reconvertido en hotel con un gustazo impresionante. Todo son comodidades y sus dueños, Carmen y Manuel son extraordinarios. Los cuartos son comodisimos y el desayuno muy completo. Volveremos muy pronto y lo recomendamos 100%, no dejéis de ir
