Meliá Barajas

We had the pleasure of staying in a Grand Suite room at Melia Barajas before our trip to New York in October 2023, and the experience was truly fantastic. The room was a delight – spacious, immaculately clean, and adorned with luxurious amenities. The Rituals toiletries added a special touch, and the bed provided a comfortable retreat after a day of travel.

We opted for the airport transfer from Barajas, a decision that turned out to be seamless and convenient. Even with two large suitcases and two smaller ones for our connecting flight the next morning, the staff handled everything effortlessly. Navigating our way to the transfer from the airport was a breeze, thanks to clear signage and helpful directions.

The efficiency of the check-in process was noteworthy, with the staff displaying friendliness and professionalism. The overall experience left such a positive impression that we are already planning to return on our next trip to Madrid. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Premium room was excellent. VERY comfortable bed and pillows, spacious room, very quiet. Handy free bus to airport.

Totally fine. Stayed here due to a missed flight. This seems to be a one night and over hotel for most there. Room is dated in decor but all fine and comfortable. Restaurant and food were very good. We took a taxi from airport b/c we were impatient. Took no time and was maybe 20euros.

I stayed for a week for business related trip and hotel is great, nice rooms, big bed and very nice breakfast. Only thing is that the shuttle bus driver was really annoying fellow, that pushed us to taxe taxi back to the airport rather than using the bus

I was booked for this hotel by Air Europa for a one-night stand due to flight delay. Very nice hotel, comfortable king size room with many facilities easily available, also a pool. Loved the comfort of the bed and clean room. Very positivley surprised, given that Airlines normally send you to a less costy hotel when their flights are delayed.

This hotel is so beautiful.. Set in Ol' spanish style.. friendly service lived it and beautiful eats as well.

Nice shuttle bus service too and good restaurant, pivcture is local wiener schnitzel with Spanish add on

The plane was late for my next connection to Madrid. Air Europa(not so much fault of Air Europa, since were traffic jam air space) took responsibility and booked me this hotel/meals are all free in a nice area. Room was cleaned and firm mattress. The meals were delicious and delightful.Definitely, I'll be back with my husband, but next time I'll pay for the room unless air Europa wants to pay for the room;).
Last but not least, the hotel staff were attentive very friendly. A hidden gem near the airport 15 min.

Excellent choice for madrid near the airport, breakfast is quite good with lots of options.

Booked the hotel online at the last minute for a room later that day. Prices were reasonable.

The stay was for a friend coming into Madrid airport late in the evening, with a flight the next afternoon. She called the hotel from her train from Barcelona…and indicated to me the hotel was prepared for her late check in.

My friend also indicated that the check in process was smooth and very friendly. The room was really nice, in her opinion…and she slept late into the morning (always a good sign…:). Checkout was smooth and friendly.

All-in-all a great experience for my friend, who is not as seasoned a traveler as I am. She is very happy…and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Thank you Meia Barajas, for taking care of a friend and a fatigued traveler, as you did. 🙏🏽💗

When I arrived at the hotel I liked the decoration of the lobby, it seemed very elegant and although there were places that were being remodeled, everything was very clean and in order.

I got to my room and I was impressed with the size, it was very comfortable and also very well decorated. The bathroom was very clean and definitely one of the most complete I have seen in Spain.

We stayed the night before traveling for the convenience of being close to the airport, if you are looking for proximity to the center of Madrid, this hotel is not what you are looking for.

I will definitely stay again and recommend it to my family and friends.

This is a supreme hotel, specially after the terrible experience at Sercotel Toledo Alfonso vi ( I posted a review)
Everything I thought was sublime. From the recptionist, professional, correct. The lobby was very elegant and clean. The room, I found it very elegant and the 3 pillows very comfortable. The light switches were easy to figure out unlike other very modern hotels that are too complicated for a tired traveler..
Additionally, this time I went for dinner and I found the most delicious wonderfood food for a hotel, plus the waitress were friendly , and you could sense they were proud to work there. The wine was served in the correct wine Glass, which is a plus for me that I like proper utensils and glasses. The kitchen was open till midnight and the dinning room was in the lobby area so it was relaxing and open. Also it had electrical plugs!! . I had a really relaxing time compared to the majority of my hotel stays where I go and stay in the room. Finally the hotel shuttle to the airport was perfect, clean, the driver very professional. 5 minutes late but this is minor, specially if n Spain, and even though he was and older guy he was able to communicate basic stuff in English like terminals information, etc. Airport shuttle belongs to the Hotel and it is very elegant. I was impressed compared to my latest airport shuttle at a hotel in Barcelona. This is a 4 * hotel but felt like 5*.

It is a great hotel to stay if you want commodity and have to go to the airport next day as it has an included shuttle bus to the airport and nice and comfortable premises. Hovewer, it is very far from the city so if you are planning a long stay, it's not very convenient. The breakfast is great!

The presentation, quantity & quality of the food was top Draw. Yes it's Not cheap but you get what you pay for !!!

Homemade Baked Cheesecake Was awesome and I tend to not eat desserts but was persuaded.

Breakfast starts from 6.30am and by the way it was the best I have ever seen. They cater for everyone and everything , I can't even think where to begin. Out of this world would sum it up and I'm very picky.

The Rooms and communal areas are immaculate, the staff are friendly, they have communal WiFi available and two large screen computers are also available in the lobby for customer use. It feels safe They have a gymnasium open 24hrs and it's well equipped.

Complimentary Shuttle pick ups every half hour from the airport to the hotel and vice versa.

I have stayed in the Meliá Chain several times before in different areas and they have always been good but this one is something else.

Meliá hotel its just 5 minutes from the airport.

Excellent stay close to the airport. The interiors could use a touch of some modern elements. None the less impeccably clean and spotless. Great breakfast as well. Make sure to use the free airport shuttle services.

Out of all the hotels we stayed in during this trip, including the river cruise, this hotel had the most comfortable beds. The only reason I didn't give them a perfect score is because they need to fix a couple of issues with the fixtures.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices.
The location is central to visit many monuments.
The rooms are nice and it was quiet.
