BAR PACO PEPE

Bar Paco Pepe was a wonderful surprise. Having literally looked down our noses at it while dining at the relatively staid La Raiz restaurant nextdoor, we really didn't know what to expect from this casual place. Fortunately, it was recommended by our host who has lived in Gaucín for 50 years. The food was great! The shrimp pil pil, chipirones, and beef cheeks were excellent. Tip: have the eggplant starter for dessert. It's wonderful and very sweet. The service was attentive but not rushed. We're glad we walked by early (noon on Sunday), to make a reservation (there were four of us) for later this afternoon. Eating outside next to the fountain was very pleasant.

Very good food, especially the Flan de Turrón, friendly service and a nice armosphere at a cute square.

Used to come here regularly when we used to holiday in Gaucin before buying a house in nearby Jimena. Also, due to COVID, it was three years since we were last here, but the lovely staff seemed to remember us. So pleased that they are now open again. The setting is gorgeous, a sunny courtyard with lots of shade and the trickle of a fountain. As mentioned, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is great. Leave room for a pudding as the white chocolate flan is gorgeous and not to be missed.

It's been a while since we last visited (8 years) but the food was still as good as we remembered as was the service. Best bar in Gaucin and one we always return to - and will continue to so do. Thanks again guys and hoping to see you again soon. x

Best cafe con leche in Gaucin. A lovely spot next to the fountain for morning coffee and the tapas is very good for lunch. Charming professional owners.

Paco Pepe is a regular trip for us if only to get out teeth into their flan con chocolate blanco. The menu has something for everyone and is in Spanish and English. All food is great. Prices are very good with most mains between 6 and 8 Euro. If you go, try the flan. Your waistline will not thank you, but you'll love it.

Lovely little place , friendly. Caters for tourists and locals alike. Good breakfast, good tapas evening meals. Can't wait to be on holiday and here again

Great food at a good price. The service is very good. Best to sit outside in the small square next to fountain.

Local restaurant with good selection of regional dishes of very good quality, great taste. The waiter and owner also are very friendly - highly recommended!

Sitting next to the fountain on a summer evening - or lunch from spring to autumn, this is a delightful corner with excellent tapas and good service.
