Expect the unexpected in this place, it will surely surprise you! I loved their cold beer, the tasty cod fish, duck leg, and even the Russian salad was delicious. The treatment of customers is genuinely nice and the icing of the cake is the history of this place, they told me it was a place to keep the cattle and in one refurbishing by serendipity they discover a hidden chamber. It's a lively place embedded in the heart of the Ronda mountain range. I hope you like it as much as I did. Thank you for your hospitality.

I’ve stayed (and eaten) here a number of times through the years and I’ve always loved the ambience and the people. Jesus and Rosa are incredible hosts and they turn out some of the best food you will eat in Spain. Was recently able to share this experience with my wife and Aunt and I’m happy to report that it was another fabulous meal!

A lovely oasis after a long day of hiking in the rain. The owner was super friendly and lit a fire so we could dry our stuff. The food was excellent and the room comfortable, definitely a winner.

Went to have a walk around all the villages near Alpandeire and booked to have lunch in here.
Shouldn't leave without trying it. Yummy dishes and great attention. Cozy place.

An unexpected gem in the Genal Valley. Great menu - both formal dining and tapas to choose from. Excellent customer service by Rosa and Jesus. And if you want to extend your stay - rooms in the hotel are amazingly good value. Make sure to book in advance if you can because they're always busy!

Definitely it is worthy to visit if you are around Ronda. Amazing service and food. Homemade Arroz con Leche liquor is incredible.

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant including a parrillada de verduras, costillas barbacoa. Todos los platos estaban excelente. The hotel has comfortable rooms with great views of the surrounding mountains.

Great little hotel in a rural village, that's a short drive from the better known town of Ronda. The staff (Jesus and Rosa) were super friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant serves up food that proves you can get a great meal even in a semi obscure village in Spain. The octopus carpaccio, secreto iberico and cheese, anchovy and confit onion salad were highlights. The cheese in that salad was a softer white variety (but firmer than typical breakfast cheese) with a touch of sweetness - we asked what it was, but apparently it's the only item on the menu that they keep secret!

MUY RECOMENDABLE! Es sin duda el mejor restaurante de toda la serrania. Aunque estes en Ronda merece la pena acercarte. Hay todo tipo de opciones (varias vegetarianas) y con una calidad increible! El servicio inmejorable y el lugar precioso! Tambien tiene una terraza con buenas vistas!

Estuvimos ayer sábado a mediodía en este magnífico restaurante. Teníamos reserva mi mujer, mi hijo de 11 años y yo. El servicio es excepcional y la comida exquisita. Todo en un ambiente acogedor, tranquilo y especial. Sin olvidar lo maravilloso que es el pueblo donde está ubicado. Fuimos desde el Rincón de la Victoria solo para comer allí. Volveré lo antes posible sin dudarlo.

Si os animáis durante noviembre y diciembre a adentraros en la Sierra de Ronda, os invito a conocer Alpandeire, un pueblo encantador donde nació Fray Leopoldo. Visitar el Museo, su iglesia, pasear por sus calles y hacer una caminata por los senderos marcados disfrutando del cobrizo y bucólico colorido de los castaños en esta época del año. Como alojamiento recomiendo LA CASA GRANDE, pequeño hotel pero muy bien atendido y confortable, además dispone de restaurante con una cuidada cocina y esmerado servicio para disfrutar los platos serranos con un toque muy personal. Muy recomendable. Lamentablemente el día de nuestra visita no hicimos fotos en el establecimiento ya que estaba muy concurrido y por respeto a los demás clientes.

Excelente lugar para alojarte y para comer en un establecimiento singular y en un paraje natural absolutamente fantástico.
