CCCA Can Castells Centre d'Art

A manor dating from the end of the 19th century which was built to accommodate the family of the businessman and patron Lluis Castells i Comas, who promoted several significant public works to modernise the Sant Boi of that time, such as the wooden briges across the river and the first town expansion.
Can Castells housed a public library for many years and nowadays is a municipal centre for contemporary art.
The building is easily recognised by its two-storey watchtower. Some of the elements of great artistic value include the main entrance door, the windows on the bottom floor, a gallery with arches and columns, and the balconies.
