Surf School Cantabra

Really professional outfit, excellent instructors. Our kids loved their very first surf lesson and we got some great tips to help get our confidence back after not being on a board in many years.... hopefully the first of many to come after a really positive experience for all!

From the landlocked lands of Slovakia to the shores of Spain, we embarked on a surfing adventure with, and let me tell you, it was worth every moment! Sure, we may be a bit battered and bruised, but every wipeout was a badge of honor. And the instructors? Simply stellar! Plus, the vibe among fellow surfers was infectious. Everyone was riding the wave of positivity, and let me tell you, it made for an unforgettable time! Surfschool was great! Good material, lovely people and professional teachers (thumbs up for Dani and David!!) .. camping experience was truly amazing thx to Stefano! The dude is awesome 🤙😃.. only thing that could be better: a bit more diversity in the breakfast 😉 ... I can only say that Somo and the people from Cantabra Surf School will stay forever in my heart! Next year definitely again 🤘❤

Great staff!! A little bit crazy at the start when everyone gets their surfboards etc but once you get going it’s great!!! Martin was a great instructor and spoke perfect English, so patient

Rented some Bodyboards here. Cheap rental and the people are super friendly. Forgot my ID here and they helped me a lot organizing a pick up. Can highly recommend!

This was the first time I have ever surfed and this was definitely the best place to do it. There were about 7 of us in a group yet the instructor still took time to give each person feedback and how to improve each time. Honestly totally worth it.

Paula was the best surf teacher ever! I learned so much and we had the most epic time! If I could I would take a surf lesson every day with her I would!! 🙏🏄‍♂💖

Just amazing 😍 we had 6 classes at the beginning of august. Even with the school full of students, we had no issues. Very well organized and all the teachers are super nice and professional as well. Highly recommended for both beginners and more advanced surfers!

We booked the 2 hours beginners course and had a great time. The employees were nice and helpful. Miguel is a great teacher and helped us gaining our first surf experiences.

We didn't take classes but the people working there were really helpful advising and supporting, specially Renal, he is an incredible surfer and guide. Also, all the equipment booked (different surf boards were excellent) Strongly recommend it! :)

Did two personal lessons with my family. Although it's a huge school we were taken care of in a great and personal manor. Patient instruction and good feedback. Looking forward to be back again soon.

Great experience! I spent 2 weeks with the school. I took part in the surfcamp, sleeping in the tent (provided by the school), attending 2 classes per day. Instructurs are really great (Andrea was amazing, but also Martin), they follow you and help you in correcting your posture. In general, the school is super well organized. Really a great experience, I will definitly come back to learn more about surf

Went there on my last day in Spain and left my driver's license as collateral. Forgot it obviously after I went surfing but they send it back to my home country without a hitch, am very grateful.
The equipment was good and staff was very friendly, spoke multiple languages as well.

Great lessons all week with this surf school ! Andrea the instructor teached us plenty of very interesting skills ! How to make a proper take off, turn, read the waves, being reapectfull with other surfers etc... All of these with smile, sens of humour and serious. The material was great and the rest of the staff friendly! We highly recommend this surf school. Thanks a lot !

Loved these guys. Great price and had a blast with the team. Walked down to Playa De Somo for a great early morning lesson. I am an "Ok Surfer" nothing to brag about. The instructor was great about helping me with my current form and showing me better ways to do things! While teaching me Spanish for surfers! Sticker on my laptop and the hoodie I bought in the store is one of my favorites. Surf shop is an awesome layout and fun to walk around!

Very good selection of boards to rent with reasonable price. Staff was friendly and there was changing rooms and showers. I did not use the showers but those had some fee per minutes. Location was right on front of the beach.

We had an amazing experience of two weeks of surf lessons with Andrea and surf skate lessons with Jan. Great communication and professionals!
