El Rincón del Tándem Spanish school

I had a fantastic experience at El Rincón del Tándem - I can't recommend the school enough!

Everybody is incredibly kind and friendly, from the teachers to the reception staff, and welcome you warmly into their community.
The teachers are knowledgable and professional and my classes were very enjoyable. Teachers use a mix of interactive resources (text-books, worksheets, videos, music, games) to maximise learning. Throughout the course, your level is assessed and your progress is tracked. Class sizes are relatively small so there is always an opportunity to address individual needs and questions. Staff are quick to respond to your emails/questions and happy to give you extra resources if needed.
I took the intensive course which consisted of 4 hours per day - I arrived not speaking a single word of Spanish, and I have left with my B1 certificate!
The school is located in a safe and lively neighbourhood, easy to reach via public transport or on foot. The school facilities are always clean and comfortable, with well equipped classrooms.
The school hold weekly events to practice your Spanish - it is a great way to learn about the city, Spanish culture in general and to make friends.

I would strongly recommend the school to anybody looking to improve their Spanish in a fun and friendly environment.

Great school! I did two weeks of intensive, 4 hrs per day. Everyone was so friendly and I loved my teacher, Coral. They put me in level A2 which felt like the right level, and the teacher was amazing at keeping us engaged throughout the 4 hours, with a mix of more difficult and more lighthearted fun activities. She was also very patient which is so important. I will definitely go back to El Rincón next time I'm in Valencia!

Very friendly school well situated in Razafa a fun neighborhood to stay also. Our teacher Andrea was very fun and patient as we came from Australia, Brazil and Russia. The school was very quick to respond to questions or help with anything. They organize a social outing with present and past students on what’s app to practice Spanish. 19.30 so all classes can attend. They also send an email with cultural events and organize an outing most weeks best suited to morning classes as starts at 18.00 usually. Highly recommend tried 2 others previously. Cheers Jules

I highly recommend this school :) it’s clean, well-run, the teacher I had was great, and it’s located in an awesome area. They arranged accommodations for me with a local family which was amazing. Staying with them really helped me practice speaking spanish. I went in knowing no spanish at all and only 3 weeks later I can make conversation - I’m so happy with my progress. Thank you!

I am very happy with the school. I took the C1 class with the best teachers. I also took some private lessons to prepare for the DELE C1 exam. I am happy to report that I passed this difficult exam. Other than classes, they organize after school cultural activities, which are so so fun! This school and the people I met there helped me tremendously to get adjusted to life in Valencia. I also made lifelong friends. Thank you!!!

Wonderful experience!
To improve my fluency in Spanish, I decided to come to Spain for an immersion experience. I signed up for a month of courses with El Rincon del Tandem and lived with a family that was assigned to me by the school. The experience I had was very positive. After a month, my speaking skills have improved a lot and I met some great people and had a lot fun time in the meantime. Elena and Francesca in the office were very helpful to me especially in the beginning when I was trying to find a best class I could fit into. Finally I ended up with Andrea’s class. The school was also flexible about letting me skip one class and make the time up by attending another so I could continue to follow my ongoing Cervantes Institute video classes. The teachers were all very dynamic, competent and a lot of fun. I loved Andrea’s energy and enthusiasm and Arancha’s suggestions for cultural activities. They loved to share lot of information about Spanish language and culture.
The family I lived with lived about 1/2 hour walking distance from school and they were very nice, clean, friendly and quiet. I enjoyed living with them.
All people in the school were like a family.
Valencia is a magnificent city and I hope to come back to continue on my Spanish learning journey.

I joined El Rincón del Tándem because I moved to Valencia from New York City. I elected to join this language school I knew nothing about. But from the first day of class I knew I made the right decision. The classes are not structured like the classroom setting when you were 16 years old. Every classroom and class is structured to be more conversational and friendly for yourself, the professor, and other students. Every professor I've had was incredibly nice, fun, and patient. Every person who works there, not just the professors, are incredibly nice. The school also provides weekly activities and regularly updates students on activities going on in the city. I never experienced the feeling of loneliness when I moved to Valencia because the majority of my first  friends were also in this school. And even though some went back to their home countries, I still keep in contact with alot of them. The school helped me explore the city and fall in love with it as well. The school helped me in alot more ways than just language.

Highly recommend! Lovely, central and safe location. I studied here for 1 week intensively in classes + private lessons to boost what I had been learning online at home. I am so happy I made this investment. My skills have improved massively in such a short space of time. I was able to fit in naturally to existing class groups, and was made to feel very welcome too. Irena is a great teacher. What is nice about this small school is that I was able to socialise with my class on breaks and after class too. This is when my Spanish conversation skills was able to improve a lot. The private classes are great value too. Laura was brilliant at spotting areas to improve and tailoring the sessions to suit my needs. Thank you!

This school is by far the best language school I have ever attended. I took an intense course for 3 months with 20 hours per week and will be continuing my studies there upon my return to Valencia in May. I had originally thought 4 hours of class a day would be tough to sit through but in this school that is not the case. The teachers here are absolutely incredible and mix just the right amount of different types of learning and activities that keep you engaged and constantly learning throughout the class. The school itself has an incredible vibe that feels like home - and right in the center of Ruzafa! The management goes out of their way to help students with everything from working with your schedule needs to assistance and recommendations for living/ studying in Valencia. They also have weekly free activities that make it easy to make new friends and practice Spanish! This is a school that will quickly feel like home and the teachers and management like family. Fantastic School!

I attended the A2 course this month and it was a very educational experience.
The course is flexible: grammar, speaking and listening are taught and practised at their best. I'm satisfied cause in just a month I can have little conversations in Spanish.
Arantxa is a very kind and professional teacher and the school management is friendly and helpful. They organise also interesting and funny events for the students. I would recommend this school to everyone!

I followed an intensive Spanish course at El Rincón del Tándem and I enjoyed every second of it! I started from scratch, but in three months I learned so much. The teachers are nice and very helpful. The content of the classes are well structured, it brings you step by step closer to be able to write, listen, speak and understand Spanish. If you are in Valencia and you would love to learn Spanish, stop looking for something else and go for El Rincón del Tándem Spanish school, I can absolutely recommend it!

By the way, the location is also amazing: in the heart of Russafa. There are plenty of restaurants where you can go for a coffee/breakfast before class or even a lunch after class :)

A great school to learn Spanish, with a good dynamic and lovely teachers and staff. I did a C1 course and the lessons are very communicative, have clear objectives and are well planned. They are also very varied so you practice lots of different skills and don't get bored of repeating the same activities or lessons. Very good value for money!

I spent 3 weeks at the school, and I highly recommend El Rincón Del Tandem to anyone who wants to learn Spanish. The teachers are very attentive to the students and adapt their lessons to each one, allowing everyone to work in the best possible conditions. In three weeks I have learned a lot thanks to them. Furthermore, as the school organises activities every day, it is very easy to reach out to others and speak Spanish all the time, especially during the "Charla en español" sessions where the aim is to get together over a drink and talk in Spanish. The students are very friendly with each other and this helps to build real relationships. Finally, the competence of the administration and the staff must be underlined, always listening to the students and trying to help them as much as possible, even if it is about more personal problems. A big thank you to Francesca and to the whole team who always have a smile on their faces and try to pass it on to the students.

I went along and signed up to the Intermediate Classes in January for 6 weeks. Excellent teaching together with a great social crowd which helped me learn and speak Spanish. Such a great school - would highly recommend Viktor and his team and we're looking forward to signing up for a few more classes on our next visit to Valencia! 😊😊😊

100% RECOMMENDED. I have studied Spanish at two different schools before (one in Mexico and one in Guatemala) so i am able to compare amongst the three: El Rincon definitely is the best, by far. Let me tell you why:
- Very good, highly educated and dedicated teachers
- Group lessons are in small groups so lots of attention for each student
- Lots of activaties (which are free) are organized by the school
- Great location in the midst of Ruzafa

Don't hesitate - just go for it!

El Tandem is the best Spanish school in Valencia. They are very friendly and supportive and I never have been board studying with them. A lot of activities with friends from all over the world. My Spanish has been improved a lot with them. Strongly recommend.

Great little school with good teachers and various options for how many hours you decide to take. I particularly like the fact i could do 2 hours a day and you don't have to start your week on the Monday even.
I have been to a few schools in Valencia and this is very competively priced!

What an incredible place. For anyone hoping to learn Spanish both the informal atmosphere and wonderful teachers will have you speaking confidently in no time.
