Hotel Can Garay

We stayed at Can Garay for 2 nights whilst attending a family wedding nearby. Sophie, our host, couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was a superb continental/catalan bread, croissants & local meat/cheeses with plenty of juice and coffee.
We had an evening meal on the first night, 3 delicious courses without being overfaced by too much food.
Normally we would be equipped with our walking shoes etc, but unfortunately we had no time in this short visit, so hopefully we will return for a longer stay 😁

Lovely place and our hostess, Sophie, was very helpful and attentive. We stayed 2 nights and ate breakfasts and dinners here - all excellent! Very restful spot after our bike rides on the VV and around the area. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous 2 nights at this delightful, quirky and very comfortable family hotel. The building, dating back to 1906, is full of atmosphere, with lots of interesting art and beautiful stained glass windows. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view, and the gardens are very well tended and restful. But best of all was Sophie, our host, who was very hospitable, funny and helpful, and served us fabulous evening meals cooked by her husband. Highly recommended!

Wonderful welcome, beautiful setting, ideally situated for our cycling holiday on the Via Verde between Olot and San Feliu de Guixols in Catalunya. Sophie was a careful and attentive host who, along with her team, looked after us really well. We were lucky to have one dinner and breakfast inside and one day outside and both were beautiful. Good quality food and drinks, nicely served and in a lovely setting. We will definitely be back.

We spent a night at this family hotel during our bike trip with the kids and truly enjoyed it. Sophie, our host, took great care of us, made sure everyone was happy and served us an amazing dinner. The kids loved playing out in the big garden with the trampoline and the room was big and comfortable. The house is an historical beauty and not to be missed!

Sophie and Lluís gave us a warm welcome in their beautiful art deco house. The linden trees in the garden provided a welcome shade and coolness during the hot summer's day. Sophie's English deserts are very delicious and Lluis knows how to entertain his guests.

This is a unique place to stay. It is small, beautifully decorated and we chose to eat there a couple of nights and thought the food was very good . There is a large back garden and our kids had a great time on the trampoline and running around on the grass. This is not a corporate chain, it’s a family hotel, the owners are real characters and we loved our stay there.

Amazing 100+ yr old family home turned into boutique hotel. Great food and breakfast in the huge garden. Very welcoming hosts. Highly recommended if you are cycling the via verdes like us or just want to explore the beautiful nature in this area!

A beautifully restored modernist building with enchanting grounds. A peaceful retreat and an excepcional breakfast. We fell in love with Wibbly the cat and the woman that served us the breakfast.

We only had dinner at the restaurant and it was amazing! Recommend 100% - we had a beautiful evening. Thanks Sophie and the Venezuelan waitress (sorry I forgot your name). Very helpful! We’ll be back!

We have spend a wonderful weekend in Can Caray. Totally recommend it. Super nice hosts and great service. Sure we are coming back. ✨✨

Hotel modernista del 1906 molt ben conservat, amb habitacions d'època molt romàntiques.... Només 6 habitacions, molt tranquil, amb jardins preciosos per poder esmorzar, dinar O sopar.... Esmorzars consistents i sopars de forquilla boníssims. Lloc ideal per.fer rutes a peu o bici pels voltants que són increïbles.... Ruta dels gorgs, del carrilet, etc ..

Llegamos buscando un lugar tranquilo para desconectar, y nos encontramos con un espacio precioso, una antigua casa señorial muy bien cuidada, manteniendo esa esencia antigua pero no vieja y con pasion por los detalles (creedme que reboza historia en cada rincon que miras). Pero por encima de lo bonito del lugar, de lo bonito que tienen la casa, y de los despertares oyendo los pajaritos y de las geniales cenas que nos prepararon, nos ha acabado de enamorar lo bien que nos ha cuidado sus anfitriones, lo que han acabado de convencernos que este sera nuestro nuevo lugar de escapada a la que queramos huir del dia a dia. Muchas gracias Sophie y Lluis, ens veiem aviat!!

Una descoberta meravellosa: una torre modernista preciosistament decorada i regentada per la Sophie i en Lluís, que manté l'esperit dels seus avantpassats ben viu! Una estada incomparable i una ubicació immillorable per visitar els gorgs de Les Planes d'Hostoles. Repetirem, de segur.

Un hotel con un encanto especial,con preciosos rincones llenos de detalles preciosos,rejentado por una agradable pareja que hacen que la estancia sea de lo mas agradable y familiar,por no hablar de su deliciosa gastronomia y unos postres hechos por Sophie deliciosos.

Magnífica casa modernista impregnada d'història familiar reconvertida en "hotelet amb encant". Na Sophie i en Lluís són amfitrions ideals. Les habitacions acollidores. Servei i menjar en molt bona relació qualitat - preu. Ubicació i entorn excel·lent. Molt recomanable.

Hotel con encanto en un entorno maravilloso. Perfecto para desconectar y relajarse, además de disfrutar de su maravillosa gastronomía; sin duda volveré.

L'hotel Can Garay és una casa modernista decorada amb gust, conservant l'essència de l'època i amb totes les comoditats. Les habitacions són precioses, amb grans finestrals o balcó i l'ambient respira tranquil·litat. La Sophie i el Lluís són uns amfitrions molt atents.
La zona permet tant excursions com visites culturals ja que Can Garay està situat en una lloc de fàcil accés a diferents indrets entranyables.

Molt tranquil, els detalls molt ben cuidats. A destacar la cuina, tot molt bo i casolà! I tant el Lluís com la Sophie molt propers!

ES UN LUGAR CON MUCHO ENCANTO... CONSTRUÍDO EN 1906 Y MUY BIEN CUIDADO.
SERÁ UNA EXPERIENCIA MUY DIFERENTE A LA CLÁSICA Y REPETIDA, QUE TODOS HEMOS TENIDO EN UN HOTEL COMÚN Y CORRIENTE, ABARROTADO DE GENTE.
SIN EMBARGO, AQUÍ SE LOGRA UNA SENSACIÓN DE EXCLUSIVIDAD, POR LAS POQUITAS HABITACIONES DE QUE DISPONE (TODAS CON MUCHA PERSONALIDAD).
SOPHIE ES LA PERSONA QUE ATIENDE, SIEMPRE PENDIENTE DE TODO CUANTO NECESITES.
IMPORTANTE DESTACAR LO CERCA QUE QUEDA DE MUCHOS DE LOS LUGARES INTERESANTES A VISITAR.
