Mesón El Aguila

I visited this restaurant while on a work trip in Vigo and wanted to try some traditional food in a traditional setting, I was not disappointed!

I was recommended a dish by the waiter and at glance it does look quite basic, however the flavours worked perfectly and I enjoyed the dish a lot. My dessert was also very enjoyable as was the tea I drank at the end.

My waiter was friendly but efficient as they often are in Spain. Once the restaurant became quieter we chatted for a while, he told me the restaurant had been in the same family for the last 70 years or so and all the dishes were very traditional.

In total; a beer, my main dish, dessert and a tea came to a very reasonable €22.

If you are in Vigo and want to try some good food with a reasonable budget then this is the place.

Lugar tradicional con una comida exquisita. Buen precio y buenísima calidad.

El mejor cocido de Vigo, en un ambiente agradable, con trato muy amable. Especialmente, de Moncho, siempre atento. Producto de calidad, relación calidad-precio, cosas riquísimas, en pleno kilómetro 0 de la ciudad.

¡Muy buena experiencia! Llegamos sin reserva a cenar y nos ubicaron en el menor tiempo posible. La comida muy buena, sobretodo la empanada y la tosta (muy buena y en gran cantidad).

Lugar acogedor y súper céntrico. Personal ágil y atento. Menú del día sabroso y contundente. Un acierto Siempre.

Taberna donde comer bien y abundante. Servicio atento y agradable. Recomendable.

Fuimos recomendados por nuestra guía y en absoluto nos defraudó, es más, hemos repetido dos veces en nuestra estancia en Vigo. Los calamares buenísimos, y las vieiras igualmente.

No os vayáis sin probar sus postres caseros, están exquisitos!

Súper cocido gallego en Vigo! Sin palabras, el mejor cocido de Vigo, productos muy frescos, sabor, brillo, calidad, intenso, natural! Buenos vinos y excelentes postres caseros. Reservar con antelación para los domingos.

Lugar estupendo para comer y cenar. Mejor hacer reserva porque se llena todos los días. La empanada casera riquísima, cada día tienen 2 a elegir. Se puede comer de menú o raciones a la carta. Todo muy rico. Recomendamos la empanada y el raxo.
