Aloft Madrid Gran Via

One of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world. I know this is not a 5 star hotel but I'm not looking to be pampered. I need my hotel to be functional, convenient, and have a helpful staff. And this hotel delivered all three beyond my imagination.

In terms of function, everything worked excellently and the room was well laid out. The breakfast was excellent and has a large variety of food. The location doesn't need any more elaboration. Its within 3 minutes of walk from many bus stops and a subway stop. There are shops and restaurants a-plenty near by and the area always has a strong police presence for safety (there is in fact a police station within 3 blocks). Finally, every member of the staff I have interacted with were courteous, knowledgeable, and exceptionally helpful.

This is how a hotel should be run.

We only stayed one night but from the check in experience to the check out, everyone has been fantastic! The service was warm, friendly and thoughtful. Lots of smiles and everyone we met was proactive in anticipating our needs. It was extremely convenient to have plant milk options available at the restaurant which meant we didn't have to go to the store to get a full carton that we wouldn't use in one night. Great location, steps from the Callou metro station and less than a 10-minute walk to all the stores. Can't wait to come back! We'll definitely stay here again!

Great location. The only feedback I had is the pool and bar are closed on the roof and the fitness center is extremely small.

Wonderful hotel and even better staff. We arrived tired after a long transatlantic flight with our 8 year old daughter. The front desk staff accommodated us with an early check-in. When we got to the room they had set up a small tent with a little bed for our daughter. It was so cute. When we left, our daughter left some toys behind and the staff took the time to contact a courier and have them shipped back to the United States. The room was very clean and very quiet...HIGHLY RECCOMEND

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Aloft Madrid Gran Vía, and it was truly an outstanding experience. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Their professionalism and friendliness were evident in every interaction, from the warm reception at check-in to the helpful recommendations for local dining and attractions.

The hotel itself is modern and stylish, perfectly situated on Gran Vía with easy access to all the major sights of Madrid. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
In the room, we recived complimentary snacks, 2 water bottles every day, coffee etc.
There is a coffee machine available 24/7, and an ice machine on every floor.
The coolest thing was 2 video arcade machines with more than 1000 games, including Donky Kong, Froger, Dig Dug, Pac Man, Space Invaders etc etc.
There was also a football machine and lots of other games.

The standout feature, however, was the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, consistently showing genuine care and attention to detail. Whether it was arranging transport or simply offering a friendly smile, their exceptional service significantly enhanced my experience.
I would especially like to thank the Amazing Anca, which welcomed us, every morning during breakfast with a huge smile and made us feel home away from home!
She is truly an amazing person.

Overall, Aloft Madrid Gran Vía offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid and look forward to staying here again on my next trip.

Awesome, awesome, awesome property.

The location is INSANE. Truly walking distance to everything and anything; so many good options, next to shopping, etc.

The breakfast was free for us since I’m ambassador and it was really great. The staff is really really wonderful and attentive. The cleaning staff unfortunately didn’t get to our room one day and made up for it with some extra goodies. Very kind of them.

The room was perfect: good showers, comfortable beds, all the outlets worked, perfect amenities.

The hotel unfortunately is undergoing some renovations so the rooftop bar wasn’t open but that’s ok. (Just heads up if this on your to-do list)

The best location just at grand via, no Hotel in Madrid can beat that location, I liked the shower in that room, breakfast was diverse and delicious also that lady who take care of that breakfast really. The only thing I didn’t like at reception when I did my check in that lady started asking or saying “I’m using my point for that reservation “ just ship up I was so tired with a long flight, just for 2023 I stayed 49 night in Bonvoy hotel and 26 in Hilton this is a lot money no one business and no one in the past asked me questions like she did

Great location - walking distance to much of what we were hoping to see, including the Royal Palace, Cathedral, Plaza de Espana, etc.
The service staff was friendly and attentive, especially Anca who made breakfast a great experience.

Clean rooms, a little bit noisy because of the location but very comfortable. Great showers and service. Breakfast was great too and Elena from Aloft at the breakfast counter was the loveliest, and the highlight of my trip. She was welcoming, friendly, very personal with every guest and made such an effort to make all of us feel so very comfortable and warm.

10/10. Had such a pleasant experience from check in to check out. The staff were very friendly, helpful, accessible at all times and very willing to help. The staff at the grab and go were also so lovely. The lady at the counter in the first weekend of December was incredible welcoming and sweet. It was so nice to see her every morning and she was always so kind to our toddler.

Everything is also very close and walkable from the hotel, we never took a car or bus or a train because there was so much to see and do.

We feel like 2 nights were definitely not enough and will hopefully return next year or so and most likely come back to this hotel because of the amazing service.

PS: We also did laundry with them and did a great job as well. Clothes felt new lol

We very much enjoyed our stay at Aloft in Madrid. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and inviting. This is an amazing location if you are wanting to get out and about and enjoy all that the city has to offer.

I would come back to this one. It is pretty new, so it was nice and clean. Located centrally and also next to the grocery store. I didn’t care that the pool was closed due to construction. However, it has a really nice gym and the room was clean. Compared to the other 4 star hotel I’ve stayed in Madrid, this was a lot better than that. Staffs were nice and the breakfast was decent

Great location, walkable. Casual hotel in the heart of Madrid. The lobby is on the third floor. This is not a hotel you would go to if you weren't spending the night there. The rooms are quite small and best if you travel light. Two people with a lot of luggage would be tripping over it, and each other.

This was our first time in Madrid. The location of the hotel is spectacular, it is in the middle of literally everything and allowed us to walk everywhere. The room is was extremely comfortable and spacious. The staff was very polite and friendly. The only thing I would share is that breakfast on property was expensive so definitely recommend eating breakfast nearby which there was plenty of options on the same street for a lot cheaper and quantity of food. The only other compliant would be it could get a little noisy with the constant sirens nearby since it seems the walls are a little thin to cover outside noises. Other than that, I highly recommend staying here and will be back, as it was definitely a very nice hotel.

The hotel was centrally located by all the things we wanted. The room had everything we needed and the shampoo/conditioner smelled great. The best part was the customer service. I feel like I walked in a customer and walked out a friend. Celia was our initial greeter and welcoming party and she did great. She gave excellent service as well as great suggestion of what to see and do. Thank you Celia!

The hotel has a perfect central location near the Gran Via. The staff was pleasant and brought us complimentary cheese and wine to apologize for the construction(the hotel is expanding and should be even nicer in the near future). The rooms were generous, and the modern bathroom had a large shower and space to place your toiletries. The only negative was the opaque window between the bathroom and the main room (beside the bed). You can see the outline of the person in the shower(this could be a problem for business travels(or not). However, the main issue was that you lit up the entire main room every time you turned on the bathroom light(a pull-down shade in the main room would be a simple solution).

Great place to stay! Room are a decent size, bed comfortable, breakfasts good. And, every staff person we interacted with was very courteous. Last, I think it would be hard to beat the location being in the center of Grand Via.
